I'm going to sum up my thoughts as such. Whoever is scum is reasonably competent and knows what the "standard" scum approach is, which implies experience with the game.

Tai: Lurker extreme, very little substance and has generally avoided much in the way of definitive material.

Dhyer: Very little in the way of definitive material and has generally tried to stay on the fence unless something specific comes up (ala the Zenny train) that gives him a clean lynch.

Yakumo: The contradictory material with Tom.

Tom: General Tom behavior which ends up hybriding scum tells and newbie play.

At the moment, my instincts are lying towards Tai > Dhyer > Tom = Yakumo.

Honestly, it has been fairly predictable scum play, but that's because it is good scum play generally, which leads me to believe that it is someone with experience. Tai is one of the most qualified there, and... well. Let's just say it. Lynch all lurkers. Sick or not, that can't be a free pass, and I'm starting to get flashbacks to when I won with LadyAshe... who said 6 things all game.

I'll switch my vote to Tai if necessary to get a lynch, but an unofficial and only current votecount shows that right now that wouldn't help anyway:

EvilTom(1): Taishyr
Dhyerwolf(3): Yakumo, Meeplelard, EvilTom
Taishyr(2): AndrewRogue, Dhyerwolf

Ciato hasn't voted yet, obviously, and we have about two hours, I think?  Ball's pretty much in your court, my dear. :P

Tai is assembling a post.

Also, since I seem to have forgotten, Dean Venture, vanilla town.

...nyaaargh, this will take far too long, way too many posts to reference. -_-; At this point, let me summarize:

* My main problems with EvilTom are the slip that I mentioned earler (calling Excal bored _vanilla_ townie), plus a few general... diction choices I'm not convinced scum would use. (second to last post of day 2, for some reason "I'm going to leave Excal's behaviour for others to examine... because I don't know his play." just sounds off in general; while you may not be too familiar with his play, you can still look things over and try to find something suspicious.

This being said, looking at Dhyer... what does he have? Day 1, three posts, none of which feel like they say too much... and then posts day 2 that are rubbing me the wrong way. I don't know, but this...

Quote
Okay, reading over this my first instincts were that Smodge was more making townie mistakes, but Quiet Rain has laid out a lot of evidence that makes me second guess that. That analysis feels pretty spot on, and he's certainly at the top of my suspicions list, but I can't quite rule out the feeling of bad townie. Since he's really the only one at the moment who has pressure on him and since I'm ambivalent about what his playstyle could mean, I'm going to hold off on voting for him. However, dragging out his theory on the matching names and then having it be so inconsequential...well, guess I'm not really sure what to read into that either.

...just seems so... incredibly non-committal that it's frightening.

There's also the marginal defense of Excal, first post of day 3:

Quote
While Excal's not reading the topic doesn't reflect upon him well at all, it would also theoretically mean that he probably didn't know how many voters were on Smodge at the time. However, read the topic! Participate on some level! We already saw that checking out only serves to misdirect town yesterday.

As for Alex and Andrew focusing most of their attention on Smodge, he seemed to be the one that hit their radar the hardest by far, so it does makes sense that they would mostly focus on him. That said, Smodge did seem to think that he saw a pattern, even though it was a really big stretch. It could have been a smokescreen, but my guess is that he really thought he saw something there.

The first part of this just... nyah. Reads like it's giving Excal an excuse while trying to appear not to support him - a tactic I favored in Discworld Mafia (Nitori never did accuse me over voting for him for shoddy principle, so it never helped there). Could I be wrong in how I'm reading this? Naturally. I'm good at being stupid.

This said, the second part of the post, on retrospect, is more interesting; it just seems like it was commentary on what had happened thus far, again without seeming to commit much, but.... Two of the three people mentioned are confirmed townies, one is v. likely town (Andrew), and... the tone strikes me as off, I don't know, but... just saying "he seemed to be the one that hit their radar the hardest by far, so it does makes sense that they would mostly focus on him." without focusing on the actual arguments or commentary at all, it seems (He commented once on the haikus, and made one post to say he marginally agreed with QuietRain's case)... there have been some games where I can understand not having much to say but this isn't even just repeating information, it's just agreeing without... really agreeing.

##Unvote: EvilTom.

Announcing intent to hammer Dhyer; partially to save my own skin, since I know I'm town, and since, the more I read Dhyer's posts, the more something feels off. I've tried to outline what I see as weird up above so that you guys don't have to hear me say "lol its all gut"; frankly, this is... both gut and brain telling me his behavior, especially days 1-3 where he really wasn't on the radar at all, seems far too reserved.

...myar. Reading over day 4 the gut vibes I get against EvilTom return; it feels really... just off, most of that day, and I can't explain it. A noticeable tone shift from day 1-2-3. Yargh. Still, I know I'm town, and right now I'm on the block.

...has Dhyer claimed, out of curiousity?

Tai's statements... sync up with some of my major problems. Blargh. Drop a hammer somewhere. I really can't decide. I want to lynch all four of you.

Blargh. I leave this to you guys.

My general opinion has shifted slightly, moving to...

Dhyer > Tai = Tom > Yakumo

Good luck. You're going to need it.

*Tom = Dhyer. That bored, vanilla townie comment is very problematic. Don't let it slide.

In fact, I'm pro taking him out right now for it now that I recall it.

Dhyer's one away from a hammer, Andrew, by voting for Tom, whom is the only person being voted for, you're only making this harder to decide and we are approaching the deadline.

Given you just stated Dhyer = Tom, wouldn't it be smarter to just hammer Dhyer?

We have an hour.  I'll switch to anything we need to make sure we -get- a lynch, but I can't hammer the only one that's at three right now, since I'm already there.  We need to pick someone, quickly.

Well, the thing is... we have Dhyer at three and Tom and Tai at one apiece right now, if my count's right.  So if you guys don't want it to be Dhyer, then hurry up and decide.  If you do, I can't help any more than I already am. >_>
