...nyaaargh, this will take far too long, way too many posts to reference. -_-; At this point, let me summarize:
* My main problems with EvilTom are the slip that I mentioned earler (calling Excal bored _vanilla_ townie), plus a few general... diction choices I'm not convinced scum would use. (second to last post of day 2, for some reason "I'm going to leave Excal's behaviour for others to examine... because I don't know his play." just sounds off in general; while you may not be too familiar with his play, you can still look things over and try to find something suspicious.
This being said, looking at Dhyer... what does he have? Day 1, three posts, none of which feel like they say too much... and then posts day 2 that are rubbing me the wrong way. I don't know, but this...
Okay, reading over this my first instincts were that Smodge was more making townie mistakes, but Quiet Rain has laid out a lot of evidence that makes me second guess that. That analysis feels pretty spot on, and he's certainly at the top of my suspicions list, but I can't quite rule out the feeling of bad townie. Since he's really the only one at the moment who has pressure on him and since I'm ambivalent about what his playstyle could mean, I'm going to hold off on voting for him. However, dragging out his theory on the matching names and then having it be so inconsequential...well, guess I'm not really sure what to read into that either.
...just seems so... incredibly non-committal that it's frightening.
There's also the marginal defense of Excal, first post of day 3:
While Excal's not reading the topic doesn't reflect upon him well at all, it would also theoretically mean that he probably didn't know how many voters were on Smodge at the time. However, read the topic! Participate on some level! We already saw that checking out only serves to misdirect town yesterday.
As for Alex and Andrew focusing most of their attention on Smodge, he seemed to be the one that hit their radar the hardest by far, so it does makes sense that they would mostly focus on him. That said, Smodge did seem to think that he saw a pattern, even though it was a really big stretch. It could have been a smokescreen, but my guess is that he really thought he saw something there.
The first part of this just... nyah. Reads like it's giving Excal an excuse while trying to appear not to support him - a tactic I favored in Discworld Mafia (Nitori never did accuse me over voting for him for shoddy principle, so it never helped there). Could I be wrong in how I'm reading this? Naturally. I'm good at being stupid.
This said, the second part of the post, on retrospect, is more interesting; it just seems like it was commentary on what had happened thus far, again without seeming to commit much, but.... Two of the three people mentioned are confirmed townies, one is v. likely town (Andrew), and... the tone strikes me as off, I don't know, but... just saying "he seemed to be the one that hit their radar the hardest by far, so it does makes sense that they would mostly focus on him." without focusing on the actual arguments or commentary at all, it seems (He commented once on the haikus, and made one post to say he marginally agreed with QuietRain's case)... there have been some games where I can understand not having much to say but this isn't even just repeating information, it's just agreeing without... really agreeing.
##Unvote: EvilTom.
Announcing intent to hammer Dhyer; partially to save my own skin, since I know I'm town, and since, the more I read Dhyer's posts, the more something feels off. I've tried to outline what I see as weird up above so that you guys don't have to hear me say "lol its all gut"; frankly, this is... both gut and brain telling me his behavior, especially days 1-3 where he really wasn't on the radar at all, seems far too reserved.
