Dhyer, you're miscounting by 1. QR has a hidden vote a few pages back, even the mod missed it. I just noticed when I counted then... I think :\

To be fair, I suppose confirmed is a strong word. He did apologize to town, however, which heavily implicated that he was town and quitting.

Either way, as town, it is advantageous EITHER way for folks to get modkilled rather than lynched out because they don't want to play. If they are scum? We get a rare opportunity to kill two scum. If they are town? We don't waste our only opportunity to kill scum and basically give them two free kills.

If someone self-votes...
(especially since Otter!)
I can't fault Tom's move.

Modkill would be nice,
but don't blame folks for hammer.
The fault lies elsewhere.

This really deserves
a big post elsewhere, in the
main Mafia thread.

People need to stop
dropping, and mods need to be
MUCH more kill-happy.

You told scum there WAS
a connection of some sort.
I'm saying nothing.

I said i saw a connection which was why i believed Zenthors roleclaim, there WAS a connection between us 3, but noone else had things that fit it so i discarded it.

Alex went attacked me over almost nothing day 1, day 2 i can see why a few of you did, the connection i saw was proven to not apply to all cases, however Alex won't even give his thoughts on others, he dead set refuses, i was willing to tell the connection i saw when others couldn't see it, i then found out it was false and so dropped it, yet still you are dead set on lynching me for it.

Alex, if scum change their tells just because you relay your thoughts won't that also give away that their scum?
Alex had 1 target all 3 days, he chose to target myself over Otter and Zenthor who were obviously lying, he now refuses to give thoughts on anyone else, he is the biggest looking scum there is out there, the only comfort i can take in you lot lynching me is it will show i was a townie all along and most likely you'll all turn around and finally get rid of this scum who keeps pushing the one target this whole time.

At this point, if I'm counting correctly, there are 2 players that all have 2 votes and 1 with 3. Although I'm not the sure best to go, of the 3 Smodge has raised the most issues with me. Evil Tom has had similar verbal missteps, but nothing like Smodge's day 2 chase down. Alex...is definetely having tunnel-vision, but in the end, it doesn't really compare with Smodge's day 2 actions. At this point, I do find him the most suspicious.

What actions? Just the trying to connect the dots?

The method of trying to connect the dots by trying to draw out a questionable pattern and distracting us for a large chunk of time while not really telling us anything at all. Although yeah, if you are town, trying to link random town roles together outloud without being in immediate danger is an atrocious idea, and does have more scummy implications (Throw future town claims that don't fit into doubt, smooth any future lying scum roleclaims).

But is there motivation to do that as scum? I can see maybe wanting to connect the dots so that you can sniff out any potentially bad roleclaims if there really is a legitimate pattern, though.

The potential motivations are the two I listed (Set the stage for future scum role claims, cast doubt on any town claims that do not fit the pattern). Granted, maybe his method of trying to be secretive could be argued against these possibilities, but the whole thing felt so tenuous that it was definetely suspicious. It was definetely jumping the gun by trying to make this linkage so quickly, and to a degree the game still has not progressed much because of the dissent over the meaning of his attempts to prove a pattern.

Just for your info,
I wholesale missed Zenny's lynch.
Was gone that (real) day.

If I had been there,
I would have joined in, sure nuff,
lynching him was right.

Otter's lie was... bad,
but less lie than fudging truth,
I saw it near time.

Was fine with his lynch,
but did not care to vote him,
he'd die without me.

Smodge still looked worse there,
and I don't like to hop round
wagons without cause.

His day 2 actions,
to Ciato, were also
prone to claim trolling.

Scum:  "Hey there's a trend!"
Town: "Really?  What trend is it?
My role fits, or not."

INDEED as you see
it fished out some bad info
from Yakko and I.

He proved that his speech
was not mandatory, and
my char is not weak.

In retrospect I
wish I hadn't even said
that much.  Didn't think.

It all started because i listed my reasons for believing Zenthors roleclaim.
I probably wouldn't have used it if anyone claimed against the pattern i would have analyzed the lynch/night kill to see if the pattern was confirmed or discarded.
I believed Zenthors roleclaim because of it and hey it matched up he was telling the truth, however it doesn't work with the rest of us.
You seem dead set on lynching me for not wanting to reveal my thoughts, yet when Alex doesn't want to reveal his thoughts it's OK?

Oh sure Alex we can really work out anything from that, ur not a weakling character proves nothing, i went with what i had to go on, it was why i believe Zenthors roleclaim so i stated it.

The claim didn't get any info from Yakko, he was asking if it wasn't too hard to read, we told him it was fine so he went back to it.

The only reason there is still a smokescreen is Alex keeps bringing up that i should be lynched for this.
Didn't people say the reason smokescreens are bad because scum will use it against us? well guess who the one who keeps pushing the point is and keeps bringing it up.

First of all, I'm not deadset on lynching you. I think you've brought up some good points on how focused Alex is and have helped put Alex higher on my list of suspicions, but I still see you as the most suspicious choice. The issue isn't that you wouldn't reveal your thoughts, the issue is that you led down a random wild goose chase, which didn't really have any benefit for town but could have had several benefits for scum.

People made a big issue out of it which is what resulted in the goose chase.
Day 1 Alex makes a mountain out of a mole hill we begin a small wild goose chase then lynch a lurker.
Day 2 Andrew contests what i said and we begin another wild goose chase Alex and a few others help spur it along.
Today Alex pushes for another wild goose chase and comes after me yet again.

Alex has helped make these wild goose chases from day 1, he has been after me singlemindedly since then, the person who defended me day 1 (Rat) dies overnight, from day 1 Alex has been trying to do this, the goose chase probably never would have occured if he wasn't there to keep pushing it along.

Rain said it herself,
a mindless push to make lists
on all the players

in the sole name of
"not blindly excusing folks"
just bogs down the town.

If there was something
other than Smodge to discuss,
I would.  But there's not.

Alex's Big List:
All:  Insufficient data.
Smodge:  Very scummy.

That wasn't what I said at all, Alex.  I DO think that laying out thoughts on people is helpful.  I think that blindly going gung-ho for one person and one person alone as if he were the only scum we have to deal with is very unhelpful to town.  I seriously doubt there is only 1 scum left in the game.  What I said was that ignoring everyone but your current target-dejour is giving the other scum a free pass.

Seriously, if everyone did that how do you think it would be possible to get anything from people?  If you confine your interactions to a single person you minimize the information you give to town.  THIS is not helpful.  THIS is kicking a dead horse.  Honestly, if people don't believe at this point that Smodge is scummy, your adamandt refusal to look at anything else isn't going to change their mind.  But, *shrug*, I'm tired of beating this dead horse.  You don't want to give opinions on others.  I'm certainly not going to ask again.  But it does, after Smodge, make you look the worst to me.

Now, I have gone back from the start and re-read the thread and I still don't see anything that would change my mind of Smodge, so, re-instating my vote.  ##Vote Smodge.

While...I don't know how I feel about Smodge, I do agree with Yakko's earlier statements about Hammers being a good thing, and frankly, I see where Alex is going:

We can't get anywhere until we lynch SOMEONE who isn't suiciding, and we can get a read out based on that.

So, while my own personal judgment is grey, I feel this action is best for the town, and hopefully we can get something out of it.

And Hammer, yeah.  Distracted myself trying to find a replacement for Excal and forgot to check this.

And so another day passed in the terrible world of Zombie Tesla.  All those arguing looked at one person - Smodge, the self-styled "Hercule".  Perhaps a cover-up for Hercules?  Or just some really cracked out guy who thinks he's macho?  Nonetheless, his attempts to discover a pattern in a Random Mafia game caused a breach in the almighty fourth wall.

"Look what you've done now!"  shouted the one called Meeple.  "How are we going to fill this hole up?  It will suck us all in!"

And with that said, the entire group of people stared at Smodge, grinning.  A mob charged at him, picked him up, and proceeded to throw him into the void.  As the twisting aether ripped him apart, his body distorted and revealed his true form...

Smodge (Hercule, yet another DBZ character with no life outside of staging fights, GOOD AND JUST) has been killed!

Smodge13(6)- Alex, Andrew, EvilTom, Dhyer, QuietRain, Meeple
Taishyr(0)- EvilTom
EvilTom(2)- Excal, Yakumo
Excal(0)- EvilTom
SirAlex(2)- smodge13, Ciato

(Yay Ciato!)

People, send in your night actions!

As another note, as mentioned, I'm looking for someone to replace Excal.  If I can't find anyone by deadline, I'm going to modkill him so we can move on.

So yeah, ~13 hours until that point.

It was a fairly sad day.

Though so sure of Smodge's villainous background, it had turned out they had sacrificed their valorous (if inept) martial artist Hercule to the dimension of doom.  It was a sad day.  And so, everyone went to be restless and depressed...

And in the middle of the night, a very...gruff...scream was heard, followed by the high-pitched shrill of an unmistakable tramp.  Running towards the sound, the group was shocked!

For on the floor lay the puppet-y body of the one they had thought was Quietrain.  Limp, especially since no one had their hands up her ass.  The majority of her cloth body was tattered, torn and ripped, as if some beastly dog-bitch had just had their way with it...

...and beside the cloth mess lay the unmistakable form of Excal - who had assumed the form of the only tramp vile enough to have raped the poor little puppet.

It appeared that though the horrible diseases and vile mental trauma of being raped had killed Quietrain, the whore herself had finally fallen prey to her own vile indecencies when she raped the puppet.

And the group of heroes just did not know if they should celebrate or not...

Quietrain (Trekkie Monster, porn-addicted-sex-starved-puppet with surprisingly good knowledge of proper investment opportunities, GOOD AND JUST) has been killed!

Excal (Paris Hilton, vile mistress of STDs and alcoholic video-taped one-night-stands, VILE EVIL) has been (mod) killed!

1) Tai (replacing Strago)
2) Tom
3) Dhyer
4) Alex
5) Yakumo
6) Ciato
7) Meeple
8) Andrew

With 8 alive, 5 are needed to kill.  The current day will end in 48 hours, on January 17th, Thursday, @ ~8:00pm EST.

Good luck and happy hunting.

So Smodge was... 3rd Party? Maybe? I'm kind of lost at this point on that front. Any chance of a clarification there, or is it just a fact of life? Need to ascertain as much as we can here before we go any further.

Excal going down is good for us, QR not so good.

My fault.  Smodge was on the side of justice (town).  It was edited into the first post, but in my haste yesterday, I didn't edit it into the post 3 previous.  Sorry.  It's corrected.

OKAY!  Finally.
Here's the long-awaited post
wherein I list folks.

All of these things are
my notes of what I see as
relevant factoids.
-----------------------------
Tai - "Eh."  Moves, late, to
Zenny.  Sick, irritable,
says the attack on

Smodge had no ground, first.
Tom - Gone for day 1.  Agrees
w/me re Smodge, votes.

"Oh no, minus one!"
Then hammers Zenny later.
Votes Tai for lurking.

Is voted on by
Excal, votes for Excal back.
Goes to Smodge later.
------------------------------
Dhyer - L A L
on Zenny, says the Otter
matter is WIFOM,

agrees with QR
but no vote, doesn't say much.
Goes to Smodge.  No more.
--------------------------------
Yakumo - Second
vote on Otter, votes for Tom.
Nothing else day 3?
-------------------------------------
Ciato - Says I'm
too aggressive, Smodge plays bad.
Reply 59, she

reacts quite harshly.
First to vote Otter for lurk.
Reply 66,

negates 59
without further commenting.
LOTS of one liners.

Reply 130,
speaks from hypothetical
scum viewpoint.  Does this

multiple times in
later posts.  152,
says the Smodge debate

is town vs town,
but can't say why.  Is
noncommittal much.

Votes Andrew, reply
173.  I find
this post intriguing.

Takes Zenny at word.
Votes me with little comment,
post 239.
------------------------------------------
Meeple - agrees, hops
on with me day 1, then
moves to the Otter.

Says "I'll come up with
something soon."  Agrees on Smodge.
Lots of summaries.

Wavers between Smodge
and Excal, then hammers Smodge.
------------------------------------------------------
Andrew - "Hi, I am

lurking, no vote now".
Was unvoted by Otter.
Votes Otter quite late.

"Hammering scum is
good!"  (how did you know he's scum?)
Then goes hard on Smodge.

Consistent attack
on Smodge.  That's everybody.
Now what does this mean?

First of all, lurkers.
Taishyr, Dhyer, Yakumo,
I have nothing on.

Tai and Yakko both
haven't posted much at all.
Dhyer has said more,

but his posts mostly
are just summaries and such,
and he rarely votes.

Meeple has mostly
been in line with my Smodge hate,
and otherwise quiet.

But Ciato, now,
she sets off my alarm bells.
Simply?  Lacks content.

Her first flipflopping,
59 and 66,
was remarked on by

Quietrain, back when
it happened.  I found it odd,
but let it go then.

This is one of the
things I did not want to talk
about earlier.

I wanted to see
if she would actually come
out with something thick

before Smodge was lynched,
or if she'd leave her 'case' there.
She left it at that.

All or nearly all
of her posts have been too short,
and lacking content.

Her two line vote post
said I was far too narrow,
but she's not better.

She voiced concern on
Excal, Andrew, and myself,
and thought Smodge not wrong.

Now, Excal was scum,
and her other arguments
have never been backed.

Lots of gut feeling,
lots of "I'll post more later,"
yet nothing later.

She's talked a lot from
scum's viewpoint, which I always
find eyebrow raising.

Also telling, this is
not the way she played back in
the Phoenix Wright game.

There, she attacked me
on intuition (was right),
but then backed it up.

This game feels more like
she's trying to play on that,
and KNOWS who's town/scum.

She definitely
tops my suspect list right now.
So ##Vote: Ciato

I want to hear more,
lots more, from the other three
mentioned.  Time to talk!
