Anyway, the plan would be to hit the city early for a whirlwind tour of, in no particular order, the Natural History Museum, Times Square/Rockerfeller Center, maybe lunch somewhere chintzy like Jekyll and Hyde's, maybe Chinatown, capping off the night at St. Mark's Place, grabbing a drink in between some of the places, of course. A one day pass would take care of the subway fares.

If people want to go to Central Park, I'm open to suggestion, but I have absolutely no experience with it despite working next to it for over a year.

I could almost definitely be convinced to join the drinky gang at St. Mark's. We could also get delicious falafel/dumplings/hot dogs/actually literally anything!

EDIT: Also? I hate Manhattan drink prices as much as the next guy (actually probably moreso), but if you're actually shelling out $12 for vodka and O.J. you are just not being an optimally savvy consumer. Fact.

What will be my best bet for hotel/somewhere to crash after the con? I have a general idea of how long I'll be in the area (3-5 days postcon). Who's staying after besides me/CT/Gref if they come? Not counting people in the area, of course. If I'm going to be in the NYC area, I damn well am going to take the chance to do some sightseeing.

I wouldn't mind staying an extra day or two for NYC antics. I'd even cheerfully go bar hopping despite not drinking as a rule, just for the socialness.

Ok, just occurred to me, an unorthodox idea for DLC4, but might be interesting...

Near my house, there's a school, which happens to have a Baseball field on it. I was wondering if, for once, we actually went out and played a game (...besides bowling) and had a big group game of Softball or something. It would be a break from the normal DLC stuff, and its good picture opportunity to see some of us acting like idiots as we try to play <.<

Damnit, that's one of my favourite sports. No one around here likes to play (unless I pay 50 bucks a month to play it professionally but I prefer FOR FUN rather than competition) so now you have me all annoyed that I cannot attend. Damnit Meeple.

If I can come I cast vote for dodgeball as I will not play softball/baseball.

If I can't come I cast vote for softball so super can throw bats at Meeple and pretend he didn't know which was a bat and which the ball.

If I can go (which is starting to look slightly more likely!), I'd definitely be up for Dodgeball. It's about the only sport I actually really enjoy playing! (I'm fine with football ("soccer") and softball, I guess, but not too often.)
'Course, I'd be happy to play both too. I'd just prefer dodgeball.

And before you start judging me, have you ever played Softball while a bit drunk? It's way better that way.

Dodgeball, probably not so much, but it will be FUNNIER that way.
