Eureka 7- Finally, after two years of slowly picking up each DVD, I finished it. And... argh. Great, awesome show, but... the writers need to write a book on how to blow your entire show in the last five minutes. For once, it's not even the epilogue thats the problem, it's the actual ending. It doesn't really resolve much, and leaves way too many things open-ended, even for an anime. The series was very well constructed before then, but I guess it proved to be a house of cards that came crashing down. I was worrying that they'd botch the ending since volume 11 treaded water, so to speak, but all of volume 12 and especially the first 20 minutes of the last episode were just amazing and it just... ran out of time. Even the ending they had might have worked if they'd had time to show the aftermath, but they just ended it there. You can't really have a series that deals with what it does without showing the results. Really, really disappointed, but still a show worth watching.
