Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to consider watching Dibuster until the next bandwidth cycle.
Appleseed (OVA):
Pretty nice. I'm kind of drawing a blank as to anything specific to say about it though.
Appleseed Ex Machina:
Very pretty. I think all up it's better than Vexille, although Vexille had a more interesting storyline in some respects.
Hitomi is very reminiscent of some character in something else but I can't think of who and it is bugging me...
This really needs to be SRWed at some point (unlike the OVA which has barely any robots/robot equivalents).
Meanwhile the Appleseed movie isn't being distributed any more (unless it was distributed by a different company than does those two in the first place) so I am going to have to spend time looking for it. Tsk.
Gundam SEED:
Decent. Quality varies quite a bit per episode but on the whole it's fairly good. Don't see the antihype that I have seen at some places.
I am unsure as to why they start taunting you with Cruise's mask coming off out of your view and then they never show you anyway, presuming I didn't blink and miss something. Also Dearka's disposition changes completely for no apparent reason.
Hm, the newtype-esque-ishness of Mu and Rau was completely unnecessary and should have been punted. Then they'd just need to get rid of Flay's godawful and also completely unnecessary final scene amongst the colours and we'd have complete real-ness going on here, assuming you don't take issue with the whole SEED thing that's never actually explained either (for that matter, early on the SEED stuff only tends to happen when they've gotten all stressed, but later on it seems that it happens whenever, which is also a mite annoying).
I am sad that SRWJ made Mu and Azrael look more awesome than they do in show, especially Azrael. My expectations for him were almost 180 degrees from the truth. Arguably this is a good thing I suppose as it means less given up by the game before I've seen the show, except for the fact that actual!Azrael is horrifically lame.
Augh why is SEED Destiny $150 plus another $25 for the final episode who the heck sets the pricing for this stuff
