Toga x Leele just came out of nowhere in the middle of Zwei, going against what little romantic sentiment the original series had. I ended up liking the pairing despite both characters being a bit meh just because the combined social naivety of the two is staggering. I keep imagining someone (probably Mizuki) trying to teach those two sex ed and wishing there wasn't literally zero fanfiction for the show.

From the opposite direction, I am lamenting over the fact that Eiji didn't say "I do".

Because Eiji's a dumbass with a terrible sense of fashion. Gravion's character designer somehow managed the feat of making a convincing crossdresser who doesn't look fabulously bishie when not in girls clothing.

That marriage line was hilarious, and there was certainly enough innuendo beforehand that you aren't really twisting much, but really, Toga can do better, yaoi or no. And Toga's not really much himself besides prettyboy looks and the way the writers milked great comedy out of his extreme lack of social skills.

10 - You know when an episode of a show like this is "so-and-so's day off", it really isn't.

Subaru: A rainbow is straighter. The fans say this for a reason, I guess. Then again, I wonder how many of those fans are guys >_>

11 - New enemies (including a tiny Etna and a ninja cyborg insect thing), Hayate finally getting to do something, and Gaogaigar-tan's sister. And the episode ends with TinyEtna taunting the group. The fight continues!

12 - MORE new enemies (Scaglietti's Numbers are coming out now), using a large artillery piece for anti-aircraft fire, and... Up Asphalt Periscope? Also, Teana has the bestest ideas.

And, because it must be said... Vivio So Moe!

What? It's not like there is much to enjoy about the show.

K-ON: Awesome ED. Show itself is moderately fun in a complete timewaster kind of way.

Valkyria Chronicles: Episode 1 has problems deciding on a tone. I can't tell if it is trying to be serious because Alicia's actions are anything but...

Anyway, yeah. When I realized they were just doing episodes of manga chapters, I stopped immediately. The original TV series reversed the manga's formula and focused on silly parody over it's meh romcom aspects and it worked, even when splashed with the occasional manga chapter ep. The TV series was best when it was just off doing it's own thing and not following the nausiating manga continuity.

I've been watching. If you're familiar with the liscence, and are in the mood for insanity, it's great. I can't reccomend it otherwise because it's goddamned strange though.

I've been distracted by exams and Gravion, but I'll definately get back to it tomorrow or Friday.

I've played enough non-OG SRWs that my opinion is kinda warped though. Mazinger is the quintessential SRW show so I feel almost duty-bound to watch it unless it got really boring - and with Imagawa on board that's one thing it'll never be, for sure.

On the topic of X TV, it has the be the only adaptation ever which significantly improves on the source material due to "actually has an ending, non-sucky one even). *grumbles about CLAMP hiatus*

Very much so. It's a shame people who've seen the movie have had the X experience completely ruined for them.

Oh, anyone watching X, let me know. I made an "X: Survivor Edition" betting game for it for my anime club a number of years ago (you bet on characters' odds of survival! Kamui: 4:1; Fuma: 8:1, Tokyo Tower: 20:1, etc)

I spelled the names the way the fansub spelled them. If I remember correctly, they're the same as the commercial English translation of the manga (as serialized in Animerica Extra. woo, dating myself!)

Kirk's Mom, unsurprisingly, was a woman I never met but cast many aspersions upon. In writing. On the blackboard. Every anime club meeting without fail. The question you should be asking is, "Who was Kirk?"
