And to address the points Otter and Rat raise:

My roleclaim? Man, I had ONE SHOT of a protective role, and the person I chose to protect says he was notified of a failed kill. From that, I'm lead to believe that I actually aimed that bodyguard use correctly and saved Tai. So, I claimed because a) one shot. I can't do it again, so I no longer have a power role worth protecting, and b) I figured it might be some information that Tai could make use of. How exactly? Beats me, there's stuff going on with his role that he can't talk about, so I figured that  more information, even if it's something little, might be able to help.

As for the "I was kinda expecting to die" thing, it's because of one particular line in my PM that I will paraphrase for you. And in fact, have already done so in an earlier post. And thats the "bodyguard because she's a guard, one shot because she's generally useless."

The "generally useless" bit is what had me half suspsecting I would be the kind of bodyguard who died in the place of my charge. But I wasn't sure. Since I wasn't told I was any specific kind of bodyguard, just that I was a bodyguard and only had one shot of it. I didn't really suspect that at first, but after the Supercop bit, the lots of "oh I can't claim everything for fear of modkill", and then Nitori flipping mad scientist instead of doc like he claimed(was this a lie or was he just unaware of what he really was? I'd like to know, but the only person who can tell us is dead, sadly), yeah I was doubting the completeness of my role PM.

Also, Otter, the way you're driving for "specifics" almost makes it sound like you're trying to trick me into quoting my role PM like Meep did in NR. Maybe it's just because I modded that game that I'm extra paranoid about that sort of thing, but you're giving me seriously bad vibes right now when you really weren't before.

Man, just what I thought. Once a train passes 4-5 votes, it won't move any longer. And they keep on piling time after time, day after day, all the way from day 1 lurkervotes (!). Or you guys could just hammer me now, what could I possibly say when the only guys you (and I) trust as much as yourself to be town tells you he doesn't believe me?

Devil's advocate again: Tai, I remember when you were the town watcher in FFT, you described the role along the lines of "I watch people and see where they go at night." If Corwin really did act on himself, then technically he didn't go anywhere. It would be very odd mechanics, and for all I know you've got a mod guarantee that it doesn't work like that at all, but...argh.

That's your defense?  "This train is moving too fast!  People are just BELIEVING that guy who everyone knows is 100% SuperCop-verified townie, who therefore has no reason to lie!"  No one questions?  Questions what?  If there are questions we should be asking, please let me know what these questions are.  This is just weak, and I'm honestly all for anyone who feels like hammering him sooner than later if this is the level of defense he's prepared to give for himself.  Kill known scum first, ask questions later.  He knows he's going down already, so any "final analysis" from him before dying would be engineered specifically to confuse us and make us question our assumptions ("He says x looks good, so, since everyone knows he's a lying scum, does that mean x is scum too?  Or is he using reverse psychology to manipulate us?  Or maybe he THOUGHT we'd think that oh oh oh" etc. and the whole post analysis would be pure WIFOM) and we don't need the useless headache, if you ask me.

I can't hammer, since I'm on the train already, but since the best he has to offer goes like

I get the feeling the only reason he isn't hammered yet is because everybody in the game who's online right now is already on the train.

I'm not particularly sure what kind of defense you expect. Would you like me to lie and say I got roleblocked? I suppose people believe it quite easily, but that's pretty pointless. As for Tai... why would someone who wants to boost his case lie? Well, why not? What, are you going to lynch Tai for being a bit aggressive on a mistake? We all know he's town, it'll be forgiven.

And heaven knows Tai would receive his entire role correctly and unedited from the mod, why, it's unthinkable things would be left out or misstated on purpose. I mean, there is absolutely no precedent for it in any of the flips so far.

Yukari pointed at the ground around Kaguya, which did indeed have several cards littered around it.

"I recognize that one over there as Components of Konpaku. Any particular reason you might have it?"

"Actually, yes. It was a thirteen-star pickup I got from spending some quality time recently with Phantasy Star Online. Everyone always told me that Bluefull was useless, but I guess they were wrong. Anyway, I'm bored now. I don't suppose you could all go kill Mokou?"

"As if, bitch!" Mokou wavedashed over to Kaguya and landed a punch to the side of her face, knocking her out cold.

"Don't worry, I'll send her back home in a box once we're done. Somehow I doubt that she'd dirty her hands to this extent, though, so even with the fox captured I don't think we're done yet."

"So, Sukima, Firefly," Yuka said, "what makes you so sure you two haven't taken care of this problem?"

Yukari spoke first. "Because I know Ran like no one else. When we had our talk, she-"

"LOOK OUT!"

Yukari turned around just in time for Ran to land a vicious clawed swipe across her face that sent her reeling to the ground. Ran landed beside her, grinning wickedly but also breathing heavily. Yukari took a moment before looking up and glaring at her shikigami. Blood was already running down her face.

"How DARE you attack me! I'll make you wish you didn't live to regret it!"

"Hahahaha, bring it on, gap-for-brains! I've been wanting to do this for years!"

Enraged, Yukari threw herself at her laughing servant and tackled her to the ground. As the rest of the crowd looked on in a mix of horror and fascination, the two began punching, kicking and grappling with each other, shouting obscenities the likes of which made even Remilia cringe.

Keine ran over to the pile of seething Yakumo. "What are you two doing? There's no need for this! Calm down!"

With Yukari momentarily distracted by Keine, Ran bellowed "SHUT UP!" and kicked Keine in the stomach, knocking her through the air and slamming her up against the side of the shrine. She crumpled to the ground in a heap.

"KEINE! NO!" Mokou immediately forgot the struggle and ran over to ther friend, Aya hot on her heels. "Quick, let's get her into the Shrine! Reimu, come with us!"

"R-right!" Reimu was also able to pull herself away from the fight, and the three of them picked Keine as gently as possible and carried her into the shrine.

Yukari was able to glance over and see the party enter the shrine, and immediately opened a large portal underneath herself. She and her shikigami sank into it, clawing and cursing at each other. Mokou got back outside quickly enough to see them leave. "Where are you going? Bring that fox back here! I'm going to make her pay!"

Yukari's voice emanated from the portal. "Sorry, but there's no sense in risking anyone else's health! Be back in a bit!" The portal then closed, leaving the area as peaceful as it had been before Ran had reappeared.

Or it would have, if not for Marisa's scream.

"Oh God, Alice!"

Everyone present turned their gaze toward the two forest magicians - and saw Alice lying on the ground with one of her doll's lances shoved through her throat and stuck in the ground. She could do little more than flail, gurgle and lose blood quickly.

With Marisa frozen at the dight of her friend, it took Komachi and Yuyuko to carefully pull the lance out of the ground so Alice became movable. Komachi then unceremoniously slung Alice over her shoulder and ran into the Shrine to join Reimu and Aya.

Yuka looked back and forth between Marisa and Mokou, her expression showing an air of indifference. "I guess that answers my question."

Also, I guess this is what the "Vengeful" part of Ran meant. If we can attribute one kill to that, we have... one scum and one SK/Vig type. Scum likely killed OK. I was also roleblocked... wait, I was roleblocked and targeted for a NK? Well. That makes things... trippy.

Your kill and the roleblock came from two different sources, then? That would fit with Ran killing from beyond the grave, if Alex had to make the call without conferring with other scum.
