Wow. I am totally amused that I actually know this one instead of Gate. But to be fair and honest, I got it off the Touhou Wiki page. According to the fun facts on Hong Meiling's page, she is more often called Chuugoku (roughly translating as China?), the one whose name is not remembered. And it appears to be something that started as a fan thing, but morphed into mainstream.

On another note, the changing names to Touhou characters is very offsetting for me, but I'm not about to ask people not to play this one up considering how much people seem to like this game. But I'll be honest, I'll be calling people by their names in the first post, not their Touhou names because it's just easier for me to remember who is who that way.

Okay, see, I know that much. I know the character, I just don't know Japaneese so I had NO IDEA what "chuugoku" meant. Had she said that those kanji meant "china" I'd have gotten it. >_<

On a side note, I'll kinda second the point about changing forum display names for the game. While I'm hugely pro-Touhou (hell, I've had Yukari as an avatar for over a year now) it adds a bit of extra confusion into the game that can only serve to complicate things. Not saying "don't do it" period, but it'd make things easier on all of us if you just stuck with your original name.
