If anything, you should 'crusade' for someone who hasn't been turned into a humorous caricature yet, by doing so for them.

Eh.  The Zidane stuff feels like it's less that people hate him or anything and more blowing up an aspect of his personality for comic effect.  If we played everything perfectly straight around here, well, where's the fun in that?
