Was 3 votes too much pressure, you ask? I don't think so. This is a psuedo day 1 when we're not even sure of the general set-up, let alone the game. I fully expected usual pressure to be a bit harsher than normal if it came on me or any other lurker, and naturally I didn't really have a choice but to agree with those specifics. I do wonder about the Snow case, though, since there really isn't anything to smokescreen at all, so arguing against it as smokescreen seems a little off to me. But that doesn't mean Kilga is scum, thus the unvote.

I don't know who to go for right now, though. Mrf. I kinda agree with the fact that Snow's analysis is pointless, but it was before I pointed out that the winner was being removed and we weren't told the alignment flip. ...actually, that brings up another point. Snow! Ciato! Why did you two seem so sure that the Rat was a townie when we weren't told?

Yes, but if scum was sent up, the scummy would be out of the game anyhow, and in practice, it'd be -worse- for scum. If we sent a scum to their victory and lynched the remaining ones, odds are we'd still win, since the living scum couldn't do anything to us.

Nitori, I think 3 votes could be a bit much for the sole reason in order to draw out a lurker even if this was a psuedo day 1 because that also leaves someone 3 votes away from being hammered. While it didn't look suspicious in of itself, 3 votes right after each other with the first looking like a joke vote and yours looking like half a joke vote didn't look too good to me given that it wasn't at all far off from what was needed to lynch. Since, I will agree that the smokescreening argument against Snow doesn't seem right since there was no other real info to talk about anyways, Nitori is still the person who I believe is the most suspicious.

Okay, I may want to at least clarify the purpose of that minor poll: what I did was to simply grab the only possible lead we had so far and put it in evidence for future reference. The external influence was ignored, and the very fact that it is easy to lie about it can be called upon during future clue-searching - calling up on blurted inconsistencies, possible hypotheses and the likes. Call it smokescreening if you want, Kilga, but, at this point, smokescreen -what-? There was no actual discussion before I started tallying it up, and absolutely nowhere to go from where we stood.

It may be a really minor point at this moment, but it could prove useful in the future and there was nothing else going on. So, why not at least try to stir up a bit of info? This is a bit metagamy, I guess, but it was all we -had- at that moment, may as well try a little bit of hindsight archival this early.

At the point we're at, we probably need to hammer a lynching, and Nitori's somewhat erratic behavior is probably as good a lead as any this early. Although I do want to see more info on Yakko due to his strange suggestion early on in this day, this is probably not the time to do so.

Okay, on to the case, such as it is. Three votes in an 11-person game is a lot for lurker pressure, yes, and I certainly didn't mean to start a train there but it seems to have happened. However, that's...the entire case? No, not hammering that. Not like it really matters, it's taken me about ten minutes to review the boards and write this up and now deadline's about to hit. Guess we'll see, one way or the other.

The arguments were quiet, at first, but soon crescendoed to fill the entire auditorium as the princesses whined and kvetched at each other, accusing each other of being the murderer.

"I know she was looking at Princess Zelda jealously!"

"I saw you crying! Betcha couldn't wait for some revenge, eh?"

"Her virtues are more lax than her dress code! I find her the most suspect!"

"... Wait, where's Princess Di?"

All conversation ceased as they looked around - indeed; the princess in the pure blue dress wasn't present.

Until Augustine ran screaming from a side room, Princess Di following behind him with a large butcher knife in hand.

"Pl-please, miss, I beg your..."

"Save it for the House of Lords!" Princess Di snarled. "You and your flunkies have put me through this tepid hell, forcing me through these petty manipulations...! I'm not going to take it from you!"

The guards quickly seized her as she began howling. "You asshole! You know this has nothing to do with anyone else! This is all for your pathetic desires! I won't take this from any of you! BLOODY HELL, LET ME GO HOME!"

The princesses looked at each other in confusion. "So... She was the killer?"

"We cannot account for any of her actions last night." Augustine nods, standing up and dusting himself off. "It would seem we have found her, yes. Please excuse me, I have to go ask her some questions..." With that, he stepped through the auditorium doors.

And then the power went out...

IT IS NOW "NIGHT" 2. Princess Di (Very Angry Zombie Princess Diana) has been lynched! Please send night actions.
