Rad and Ramza are both Squires, just Ramza's an ubersquire.

Rad joins when the game "begins".  But since the real start is an extended flashback, he's not really there for it.

3. Maybe my farewell is generic, but select me out of combat, and I'll say why I'm one of a kind!
If you boot him out of the party, he'll give the same goodbye anyone else does.  But if you hit select and then choose his name, he has lines, unlike any generic outside of Japan.

A pity, I was hoping to reach clue 5.  I have no nose and I can't scream.


Anyways, Snowfire has it.

Argh that pun in clue 1 is awful.  I'd missed that before; nice.  But yeah, clue 3 = it's gotta be Final Fantasy Tactics, with its dismissal quotes and Select-help quotes.  I'd forgotten what Rad/Alicia/Lavian's quotes were, but knew they had 'em.

Actually read "I Have No Mouth And Must Scream" about 6 months or so ago (yay Internet).  Harlan Ellison is one messed up individual.

1. Though I might not look it, I'm a brutal opponent, practically impossible to defeat.
