1 and 4 were... yeah. I would not have ever made those connections. 5 doesn't make much sense to me either, but I suspect it's me not getting culture.

Tear is 16. Which bugs me because she doesn't act like it. I don't see why they couldn't have just made her older?

Sometimes I feel like Tear was written to be around 20, and then a month away from shipping some publicity guy said "No no no, you can't make the love interest that old, it ruins the self-insertion fantasy for male players pretending to be Luke" so they changed her age. Although to be fair, you can argue her love of cute things is a sign of her younger years peeking through, and the rest can be accounted for by her military training and the steely determination of her personality (hey, she's only a year younger than, say, Yuna).

Anyway! TOTA PLOT DISCUSSION INVADES ANOTHER TOPIC? So guessing time:

Irvine, because he's 17 and from a much worse supporting cast than TotA even to me.

Just a comment on Japanese women in general - even well into their 40s, I see Japanese women sporting stuffed animals et al on their purses because they are 'cute'. Tear liking cute things isn't really childish by Japanese standards, just a quirk. And yeah, it wasn't my intention to drag TotA discussion into another topic...

Arche is 17, and timetravelling plot might have some reference to an 'edge' somehow? Also, she falls in love with Cless at the drop of a hat, and promptly drops him after meeting Chester! Obviously, she gives love a bad name! (And that name.. is "Tiger"?)
