We have a winner.
1. In my defense, I'd like to point out that my stint as a villain didn't do THAT much damage. - Eclair is haunting her castle with her monster pals and scaring people. But not really killing anyone.
2. I'm of two minds about my not-really-a-love-interest. - The game clearly pairs up Prier-Croix, Culotte->Alouette (one-way), and Eclair-Homard as far as conversation partners. Eclair does randomly pick fights with Homard, generally over book-learning vs. hunches from experience, though it doesn't make tons of sense since it's not like Eclair actually has alternate ideas based on scholarship in these little spats. By the end, she's tearing up over Homard and admires him.... but it's never really romantic, which is probably for the best if you do the math on ages. Prier is 16-17 or so, and Eclair is established to be notably younger than Prier, meaning she's 14 at max... and Homard is probably at least 20, since he's an experienced pirate captain. Ick.
3. The person who I was supposed to become helped save me from myself. - Eclair underwent rigorous training for battle because her parents expected her to become the Maiden of Light, obviously confused as to how this whole destined heroine thing works but still making some point about overbearing Japanese parents. Alouette, the real Maiden of Light, saves her sanity by performing a soul-surgery miracle to go into Eclair's heart and fix things up with her multiple personalities.
4. Spoiled nobility, me? Hardly. If anything, I could have used more pampering - it'd certainly explain some of my issues. See above. Though you'd think that if Eclair was rebelling against her parents forcing her to train for war, her other personality would be a damsel in distress who didn't have to fight, not a manical scantily clad flying chick tossing meteors and shadow lances. Go figure.
5. As polyglots might have guessed, I am indeed lightning elemental. Okay, and dark elemental too, but you don't need to know anything other than English to figure that one out. - Eclair = Lightning in French. Her attacks include Royal Lightning and Royal Thunder. Dark Eclair is, um, Dark Eclair.
6. (unused) Though "lightning" isn't actually my name - unless my childhood friends "Pray" and "Pant" are playing some kind of trick on me. - La Pucelle has random French names for everything, and Culotte's a bit better known thanks to the (horrendously juvenile giggle-worthy) sans-culottes ("Without pants") from the French Revolution (blatant plug: Go sign up in the Mafia forum for that!). I remember asking my mother what the various names meant, and I got a funny look when I asked about (the Holy Goddess!) Poitreene- "Uh, that'd be a term for a woman's chest." WTF Japan, I guess.
...though I will say that Asch did fit AMAZINGLY well for the first four clues. I was expecting a Serge guess from the first three, but I missed Asch.
Your floor, Nitori.
