When you run into him in Costa Del Sol, he's got three bikini babes surrounding him. Cloud only has Tifa and Aeris.

2. I'm also a great matchmaker and conservationist.
First appearance? Trying to breed Aeris and Red XIII in order to make a more durable ancient. And also get a second one.

3. When my superior found out what I was doing, he was a Gast.
While his superior was probably also shocked and appalled by Hojo's actions, he was then, and always before, Dr. Gast. Might not have been for too long afterwards though.
