I'm excited about L4D2. Nothing else really caught my eye there, but.. L4D2.

Trico (Or the Last Guardian as it is now) Is weird in terms of hype. I know it'll be jaw-dropping, and I appreciate the trailer, but team ICO stuff is kind of an auto-buy for me anyway, so the hype-effect is limited. 

I couldn't help but think of the Neverending Story with the Last Guardian. Plus the Guardian is just a tad bit too cute. At least it is an interesting turn from the usual story play and I can definitely see the Shadow of Colossus shining through the trailer (specifically the design). For all those "Omg want a new SC" game, I'm pretty sure some fanboys are super excited. But they need a PS3 first.

Interview on the Metroid game.  The gist of it is that the Metroid Fusion team was like "well, we want to do a Wii game, but we haven't done a 3D game before--let's get someone else to do the 3D part, and we'll handle the level design."  Also, the time frame is between Super and Fusion (3.5).

The Victor Ireland + Gajinworks has piqued my interest very much. Needless to say, I'm a WD-crackwhore and I've been shivering since my hits have completely diminished in years. I need a hit, Ireland. I need a hit.

The Last Guardian is the first game announced to make me really wish I had a PS3.  I'm not gonna buy one, but now at least I'm sad about it, so I guess Sony wins.

Metroid is auto-buy, same goes for Monkey Island.  Those two very pleasant surprises make it a good show already.  Metroid trailer freaked me out a little but on reflection it's good news.

Lots of people are mad (like Zenny) about L4D2 and HL2EP3.  I don't get enough play out of L4D to make me want five more campaigns at $10 each, if you like L4D a lot more than I do then I suppose it's great news.  I don't really feel like I'm getting screwed, though, because I don't care about Episode 3 either.  Episodes 1 and 2 are still sitting on my hard drive from when I bought the Orange Box, maybe I will play them sometime.  More likely I will play through Curse of Monkey Island yet again to celebrate.  Monkey Island!
