Man, whole lot of insanity in Heavy Week 1!  This whole pool could've gone various ways...

The Top 2 look equal, but if you'll notice, Debonair has the same number of ties as the Top 2 combined.  Which means someone won that specific Battle.  That someone was Marsilio.  Also, Alys won her Head-to-Head against Debonair, but it won't really matter.  The low record might shut the Sinstral of Death out of the Playoffs.

By now, we know that her fellow Sinstral, Daos, won't be returning to defend his FIT Title, as he suddenly had "better" things to do. (A certain Hawk's appearance in Godlike notwithstanding.)

His opponent in Last Season's Final, however, seems to have a fertile field here in Heavy Pool 2.

Celia vs Nina (BoF4) - Status immunity makes Celia so emo.
Celia vs Mirage Koas (SO3) - Man, Mirage in Heavy.

Lyon vs Nina4 - Nina4 is faster by a pretty notable margin and a Barrier makes Lyon not 2HKO. That gives her the time to Inspire until Lyon's magical damage sucks and just kill with godly staff beatings. EDIT: Looking at crit and swing odds, feels like even considering how poor Nina's physical damage is (6HKO to average, although Lyon would probably be below average with elemental resists to immune Nina's damage - this is relevant because Nina4 can buff her magical damage, although that'd take forever), it'd take a long-ass time for Lyon's damage variance to go her way, although she probably could mess with skills a tiny bit. That'd be a lot of reliance on odds, and she's outsped by a fairly notable margin here.

Nina4 vs Mirage - She even immunes the MP damage. Fail.

Lyon vs Ike - I think both 2HKO and Ike's 1.168x Average spd, and Lyon's only 1.143x average.

Lyon vs Mirage - Lyon doesn't OHKO, Mirage gets her with MP DEATH!  (Or, she would if Lyon didn't have turn 2 ID to fall back on).

Ike vs Nina4 - a crit eventually gets her.
Ike vs Mirage - Counters are probably enough here.
Nina4 vs Mirage - Don't think Mirage is getting around the speed and healing/buffing.

You mean the ID that Mirage immunes? >_> Lyon's winning that by 2HKOing first regardless, which she should be able to do with Vermillion Sky+physical, Mirage isn't a tank.

EDIT: I'd also have to look, but if Cliff's MP damage is any indication of Mirage's potential on that, it's probably pretty poor and isn't doing much to deplete Lyon's resources either.

Mirage does about average MP damage. So yeah, more likely it would take 3 turns to finish off Lyon.

Although... I completely didn't know that SO3 characters could block ID. Sorry, my oversight.

Out of curiosity, how do they block ID?

IC accessory that becomes storebought once you IC it. There's a bunch of those, SO3 is pretty comprehensive on its statusblocking.

Anti-Incapacitation Amulet yeah. Or if you don't invent it some NPC inventor could and it'd turn up for sale at a store anyway.

What Snow said, except for sleep, confusion and blind. Those can be pretty bad for a SO PC though >_>

Celia vs Ike(FE9): Average speed.
Celia vs Nina(BoF4): Status spoiling. Lede could take this with physicals, perhaps, but not Celia.
Celia vs Mirage Koas(SO3): Isn't OHKOed.

Lyon vs Ike: Faster, 2HKO.
Lyon vs Nina4: Close one, but I think Nina pulls it out. Just enough evade/speed.
Lyon vs Mirage: Lyon has excellent MP compared to some, and only needs one Vermillion Sky to make the 2HKO easy. Don't think Mirage 2HKOs back.

Ike vs Nina4: MT damage lets her avoid counters.
Ike vs Mirage: No doubling, but there's still counters and pdur.
Nina4 vs Mirage: Yep.

Lyon vs Mirage: Just better. 2HKOs solidly, is only 3HKO'd, goes first.

Ike vs Nina4: Aether/crit comes out to play inevitably.
Ike vs Mirage: Ike is badass at physical slugfests.
Nina4 vs Mirage: Really her style of fight.
