Gau vs Kyogre (PKMN) - EDIT: EDIT: Kyogre is 0.75 SDs (118% average speed to me) above average. Gau would need to be above that under a speed-twinked average to manage that. While he even -might- be able to reach that high numerically, don't think I'd give FF6 PC speed that much credit. So, yeah

I'd disagree with the not blitzing part, but I consider Adel's HP to be rather notable suck, don't respect her damage a whole lot and she's a lot slower. I guess I could swap my vote if Gau has no notable Auto-Shell Rages with damage, but I tend to think that people with average damage faster than Adel beat her as long as they're not OHKOed, and I sorta have problems thinking Gau couldn't manage that at least.

Gau vs Kyogre (PKMN) - Nightshade Rage seems to destroy Kyogre completely. Status, absorbs water and Gau has natural ice resist through equips. Ouch.
Gau vs Rayquaza (PKMN) - Okay. Gau is average speed, and has Turn 1/2 ID with Veteran (or the same for Woolly's Ice3). Rayquaza is 110% Speed, meaning he gets one or two turns to take out Gau in. Rayquaza is... hmm. I think Hyper Beam gives him this.
Gau vs Adel (FF8) - Okay, I have really low Adel respect. Edit: Gau outspeeds, wins.
