I'll second the fire. Why not just skip to clue 7 since the first 6 clues are completely meaningless without it?

I thought it was cute aside from number 1, which was a little obscure considering that it was a weird clue to start with.

It was a tough choice to make, when to use 7. Use it first and people more than likely get it within 2. Thats no fun. Middle makes it seem awkward and makes other meta clues harder to word.

It was intentionally hard on purpose, as I wanted to do one that involved thinking about the clues differently. Some people were starting to understand how to think of the clues, especially the CHA one, but didn't put it all together. I kind of WANTED it to be an "... ohhhhhh" thing. Now you know how the Xi puzzles were to solve!

Oh well. I expected the fire, honestly<G> No biggie<G>

I figured it was a puzzle of some sort by about "14th", but figured itw as a more straightforward anagram-type affair for some reason.

I thought it was an interesting idea, but the CHA clue didn't put them on the path. It only led people to try to think of games with weird applications of the CHA stat or lack of. For all that placing the 7th clue is hard, I don't think there was a remote chance of anyone getting it without it.

Not sure this style of question can really works in a gradual clue context without it being more obvious that the clues resolve to strings of the answer. That does have the drawback of it becoming easier if nothing else is changed, but what you could do is jumble the clues up to make it an anagram as well, similar to as Cmdr said. The problem with that though is that it just becomes an anagram, really, with people just trying to think of people with names containing what has been revealed.

What you'd really need is to have each clue resolving to a string but have it also work standalone. That would however be horrifically difficult to pull off.

Despite the powers that be apparently wanting me to have to run something considering this is the third win I've managed in a short period and also the third win I've ever had, I'm leaving it open for whoever else wants to do one again.
