I find that generally, whether someone is online or not matters little in whether they are actually lurking. In fact, the bestest types of lurking are those who just post loads of nothing. So,

Ah, but stereotypes have to start somewhere, meaning there is clearly logic behind this... somewhere.

So, uhh... who's alive at the moment? Who's alive when, generally? I'd like to get an idea of when people are around and not, seeing as that plays a part in judging lurking in later days.

Also, just for the record, I have a lot of plans over the next few days, so might not be able to post as often as I'd like to. I should be around often enough, but don't expect my usual activity here. Just a forewarning.

Yoshi, in later days you should definately be going more on evidence, and less on "This person should be here, but isn't" since that will screw people over for a) not having a stable schedule, b) having an emergency, or c) deciding they have a life outside this game and not devoting time to it that we feel they should.

Hell, you've even hedging by saying you're expecting to be busy as you say this. While yes, I can understand that scum wants to not post that much, you're really hanging your hat on something that is almost as likely to nail town as it is scum, and will be completely useless on the likes of Alex, Rat and Xanth, to give you a few examples, if they happen to be scum.

Meh, can't tell if Yoshi is serious or not about the hidden status concern. Mainly cuz that was his first vote and the Dutch comment below it. Despite Excal being the first one to mention the word "stereotypes," Yoshi went along with it and that's just begging to open a can of worms (pun intended) that's not needed. So I'm just gonna vote you.

Excal, I'm not foolish enough to vote based solely on lurking, not a chance. I tend to use it as a decider, though, if I really can't make a decision on a vote, and that's happened in... pretty much every game I've played, at some point. As it happens, that was just a prod to generate some discussion, and it seems to have worked a little, at least.
As for the activity thing, that's just a simple warning. I've been known to be stupidly active in the other games I've played, so don't want to be accused of the same thing I was talking about.

And Kiro, the hidden status thing wasn't serious, don't worry. And neither was the stereotype.
