Souji Seta (P4) vs Kefka (FF6)- I'm really open to arguments on this, but the kneejerk is that Souji can block/tank enough here to scrape by a win in one of the most pathetic high godlike fights of all time.
Sulphur (PB) Vs Xorn (G3)- I don't think Xorn can 2HKO Sulphur here without Death Knell, which he shouldn't get time to use.
Belial (WA4) vs Loki (VP1)- Need to decide if Carnage Anthem's a OHKO or not. Loki may be able to tank through as well? Fail.
Brahman (DDS2) vs Lady (SH3)- Ehhh HP buffering.
Jezuit (BoF5) vs Fou-Lu (BoF4)- Think I see unfocused/MT attacks as ignoring Shadow Walk. Open to arguments on this, as Jezuit has nasty enough offense to give Fou-Lu trouble anyway.
PC Psaro (DQ4r) vs Ghaleon (Lunar:SSSC)-Switches between healing and smacking Ghaleon. He's immune to ID and has the resources otherwise to handle this fight.
Selvaria Bles (VC) vs Zog (BoF1)- I... think he can tank a round of Selvaria's offense? It is a good fight.

Heavy:

Cristo/Kiryl (DQ4) vs Erim (Lufia 2)- This is a race between Cristo's damage and a boss's ID. Sounds straight forward, right? Not in this case. Erim is weak to crushing/blunt weapons. O hay, Cristo uses a Staff as his DL weapon. That's a functional 3x damage boost, which takes him to... oh.. ....still below average damage. (90sh vs a 110 average). Erim has to win with ID- her damage is all physical and 3HKOs average. 15% ID shouldn't be able to ourace there, since Cristo's faster and doesn't have to waste time buffing.
Levin (WA:XF) vs Naoto Shirogane (P4)- Don't think Levin can handle the evade.
Pamela Ibis (MK) vs Crono (CT)- Will wait for comments here. Leaning Crono, huge speed advantage and having the right damage type should put a lot of pressure on Pamela. EDIT: No love for MK defend.
Elena (G2) vs Margulis (XS2)- EDIT: RIght. This is assuming Elena's digging doesn't buff to the point where Margulis can't heal lock with a full two combo bar beatdown.
Odin (VP2) vsFujin (FF8)- I had to check to make sure Moppy didn't 2HKO Fujin. He didn't! Chip-meteor works, though it is a close fight.

Middle:

Massimo (MMXCM) vs Yang (FF4)- Yang's hitting a nasty weakness here (Gets a species or elemental weakness) and has enough durability to tank out Massimo. I could be underselling Massimo's offense a bit.
Anastasia Romanov (SH2) vs Roxis Rosencranz (MK)- Coinflip. Chrona drive takes advantage of Ana's slow recharge on most of her good moves.


Light:


Melody Vilente (WA3) vs Tia (Lufia 2)- Should  avoid being OHKOed by Melody physicals (...) when she blocks poison. Eventually grinds down otherwise.
Adam (SF1) vs Kogoro (S3)- I'm assuming Adam gets the levels he doesn't deserve and somehow breaks average defense with his physical. His durability's way better as well.
Aeris Gainsbourgh (FF7) vs Arietta (TotA)- Think Aeris does 3HKO, since Arietta HP is that special.
Tony (XF) vs Erk (FE7)
Gares (OB) vs Renault (FE7)- Gares does not like holy damage. But he can avoid counters with Evil Circle. I think he takes this?
Kongol (LoD) vs Kahn (BoF4)- If nothing else, because Kahn can't do much damage during dragoon turns.

Sulphur (PB) vs Xorn (G3) - I think Xorn is faster! Just uh Sulphur doesn't get doubled (may avoid a 3-2, which is impressive as hell) and I vaguely suspect Sulphur OHKOs with his HP-based damage even with the initial poke.
Belial (WA4) vs Loki (VP1) - Belial doesn't quite 2HKO Loki to me. Indiscriminate punches through the Distortion like a charm.
Brahman (DDS2) vs Lady (SH3) - Eternal Zero is irrelevant. Brahman just has too many HP buffers, though, and should kill Lady by its fourth form.

Heavy:

Cristo/Kiryl (DQ4) vs Erim (Lufia 2) - Failure, Erim, getting outraced by CRISTO DAMAGE due to the most esoteric, obscure 3x weakness ever.
Pamela Ibis (MK) vs Crono (CT) - EDIT: Actually, he does 2HKO. By 0.6%. Man, this is epic.
Elena (G2) vs Margulis (XS2) - Elena buffs early in the fight where Margy deals the best pressure ever with something like 10HKO damage, then she just saves her actual damage for busting past his Acala Seal phase. Actually, is Margulis weak to Ice? That'd just make the fight vaguely sad.
Sync (TotA) vs Ness (EB) - This is a slaughter. Shield just makes Sync fail at life.
Suzuka (SRW: Endless Frontier) vs Shadow (FF6) - ... awesome. ENCHAIN HYPE deals with Vanish, and SRW spirits = yay attack and cast multiple spells at the same turn broken. Since Suzuka's notably faster first turn and can ignore evade, she gets a headway with getting in the first hit, and she should 3HKO Shadow in a fairly hands-on manner. He does have a shot with trying to spam Shadow Edges and hoping for his status hax, but she probably has enough evade to reduce his status below turn 4, her three billion hits are just the thing to deal with Blink-like status - and - Gaia Gear healing risks getting Shadow OHKOed when Suzuka gets a full Frontier Gauge. She just can do too much shit at once. Nice match, though.
Odin (VP2) vs Fujin (FF8) - OPB Meteor probably OHKOs Odin even if I see it dealing average damage. Fail, Moppy.

Middle:

Massimo (MMXCM) vs Yang (FF4) - I'm not sure if CM even has Sleep. =/
Ronyx Kenni (SO1) vs Grobyc (CC) - He probably 2HKOs first. EDIT: I need to point out I've only played SO1o.
Koromaru (P3) vs Maxine (S4) - I think Koromaru's ID is just too inaccurate (probably turn 4 against Maxine mdef?), and Maxine should be able to connect her own beforehand, since it's more accurate too. Straight slugging meets Shining Wind.

Light:

Aeris Gainsbourgh (FF7) vs Arietta (TotA) - ... okay. Arietta has 0.27x PC HP under my scaling. She does have decent defense, though (about as much defense as Van final unscaled! ... yeah, my opinion of his durability just went just a bit tiny further down. Fail, Van). IF it raises her above, say, 34% PC HP, she actually should manage a heal-lock with Bloody Howling/Evil Light threat. My kneejerk is to say... yes, she does, even if she probably doesn't reach 0.4x PC HP to me. God, this is impressively awful.
Gares (OB) vs Renault (FE7) - ... he avoids counters, doesn't he. Meeplina.
Kongol (LoD) vs Kahn (BoF4) - Wrong damage type, Kahn.

Aeris Gainsbourgh (FF7) vs Arietta (TotA) - ... Aeris lets Arietta get a Mystic Arte off. Fuck that fails.

It's worth noting that Arietta's mystic artes don't even OHKO average. And Gares has a somewhat strict attack pattern (He'll always physical at least once in a battle), so make of that what you will.

Arietta's MA doesn't need to OHKO average, she only really needs to 2HKO with junk+MA. It's Aeris we're talking about, she may -miss a 3HKO on effing Arietta-.

Any reason why Aeris wouldn't heal and then poke her into MA range? I don't think Arietta can spam MAs below half life, but I could be misremembering.

I thought Arietta couldn't do it -above-. The issue is that I think Arietta can only use her MA once per fight. In which case, Arietta just reaches that range and uses the non-MA first and finishes off with the Mystic. >_>

Rofel Wodring (FFT) vs Survivalist (Etrian Odyssey 1) - Okay.  Rofel vs. five Survivalists:

With support credit added in, Rofel's about 2.92 PCHP, but reduces physicals to about a 1/3, so 8.77 pdur effectively.  Survivalist does 0.71 PCHP damage.  Survivalist is faster, and is 2HKOd.  If Rofel breaks one weapon per turn, he eats 0.71*15=10.63 damage before breaking them all.  And then he has to kill them still.  And after turn one, one Survivalist is going to use Quicken too.  Okay not as close as I thought.

Pamela Ibis (MK) vs Crono (CT) - Apparently Crono barely 2HKOs, but if he's approaching a double, Pamela can just defend to stop it (MK Defend is much quicker than an actual action).

Hina (Suikoden: Tierkreis) vs Yangus (DQ8) - Fuse Dome -> heal until double -> Fuse Dome x2.  This leaves her with 11 heals and with the harshest TB speed interpretation (0.15 per SD) she only needs six.  EDIT: Yangus has ID, so Hina needs to nail Paralyze turn 1 (90% chance), then hope either Yangus skips his turn or msises the ID on the next two turns.  If I calced that right, it's a 51% chance of winning.
Koromaru (P3) vs Maxine (S4) - Lower P3 respect than Snow so I'll buy it.

Estelle (ToV) vs Meru (LoD) - Immunes magic, tanks physicals, has lots of healing.  Yeah.  Don't really see Estellise as a Middle anymore.

This means souji can apply rakunda, tarukaja, mind charge, then blow up Kefka with a spell. Toss in an unboosted spell or two beforehand if needed.
Belial (WA4) vs Loki (VP1): Loki's MT damage doesn't OHKO, so Belial gets 5 turns... shield then 4 agony effects. Those so kill Loki.
Brahman (DDS2) vs Lady (SH3): Brahman has high 2HKO damage and is average speed while Lady is below, so even with both buffering and eternal zero ignored, Lady would have to 2HKO, and what the hell 2HKOs Brahman? Even for Lady that's a really tall order.
Jezuit (BoF5) vs Fou-Lu (BoF4): Astral kicks the shit out of Jezuit. Same 15x physical durability as tyrant backed by solid 2HKO MT damage and speed which is only slightly below average.

I think under my interp for OS, Jude might actually insta-double Mercedes as she's one of the slower OS characters (and my general view for ARPGs is to hold everyone to about average, with a range of deviance plus or minus 0.5x for faster/slower attack/movement speed).  Still, I had completely forgotten about the Invisible trick.

The only way to block ID in LoD is with accessories. Neither Dragoon Form nor defending blocks it. (Although there are specific Dragoon ID attacks, as Lloyd as has. Although that's technically only used against Dragoons).

Why would Mercedes be slow? Her goal is to use Invisible after all, which just requires menu access...

Because for OdinSphere, menu spells are the same speed for everyone and everyone's best strategy is Invisible->Damage. So the speed tiebreaker for me is individual movement speed and IIRC, Mercedes was the slowest despite flying?
