Godlike:
Piastol (SoA) vs Loki (VP1)- Likely similar HP to me. Piastol has about 35% better speed! But even if I wanted to take that MDef at fully face value, she's still taking 60% from my lower Indisc respect. And she's using that 4HKO damage. Yeah, Loki outslugs here.
Ryu (BoF3) vs  Kefka (FF6)- Faster on turn 1.

Heavy:
Fei Wong Fong (XG) vs Renee Kearse (MK)- 2HKOs Renee, and is faster.
Naoto Shirogane(P4) vs Hiro (Lunar:EBC)

Middle:
Vormav Tingel (FFT) vs Kanji Tatsumi (P4)- Vormav HP respect not found. Kanji may need 4 turns to pull this off, but Kanji durability+Auto-Endure makes that totally not an issue.
Adell (Disgaea 2) vs Yukiko Amagi (P4)- Null Fire, Healing, etc...

Light:
Landis (S3) vs Beecham (S3)- Beecham has no way to guard against Freeze.
Vinsfeld  (WA2) vs Serph (DDS)- Serph's tankiness probably means that Vinsfield needs like 6 or 7 hits to kill him, and Serph's damage means that he'll easily kill before then himself.
...into the nightfall.

Ryu (BoF3) vs  Kefka Palazzo (FF6) - OHKOs first.

Fei Wong Fong (XG) vs Renee Kearse (MK) - Bah.
Naoto Shirogane (P4) vs Hiro (Lunar:EBC) - This is just bizarre. EBO Hiro doesn't OHKO Naoto, and his ID is dark-elemental in-game, and immuned by both dark and ID immunity. So, she just gets at least two shots of her ID in, which is more than enough.

Vormav Tingel (FFT) vs Kanji Tatsumi (P4) - Vormav is frail enough, honestly.

Landis (S3) vs Beecham (S3) - Don't think Freeze slows Beecham down -that- much.
Vinsfeld Rhadamanthus (WA2) vs Serph (DDS) - Outslugs.

Landis (S3) vs Beecham (S3) - Don't think Freeze slows Beecham down -that- much.

Freeze is eating up about half of Beecham's turns, and it also means that he has to kill quickly or face permanent paralysis.

Godlike:
Piastol (SoA) vs Loki (VP1)- Speed trumps defense.
Ryu (BoF3) vs  Kefka (FF6)- Doesn't OHKO.

Heavy:
Fei Wong Fong (XG) vs Renee Kearse (MK)- Way outguns. Renee doesn't  have the firepower to try to outslug Fei.
Naoto Shirogane(P4) vs Hiro (Lunar:EBC)- Fuck me.

Middle:
Vormav Tingel (FFT) vs Kanji Tatsumi (P4)- Think Kanji's durable enough to win this. Vormav's non mighty sword damage isn't good.
Adell (Disgaea 2) vs Yukiko Amagi (P4)- Walled.

Light:
Landis (S3) vs Beecham (S3)
Vinsfeld  (WA2) vs Serph (DDS)- Vinsfeld.

What an awful season.

Godlike:
Ryu (BoF3) vs  Kefka (FF6): OHKOs.

Heavy:
Fei Wong Fong (XG) vs Renee Kearse (MK): See Dhyer.

Light:
Landis (S3) vs Beecham (S3): Probably.
Vinsfeld  (WA2) vs Serph (DDS): I imagine he's above average enough for this, his mdur is pretty good.

Why no likey season?  I think it's been pretty decent, outside of a few oddball things.

Godlike:
Piastol (SoA) vs Loki (VP1) - Loki.  Both completely rape the others primary offense due to the defensive stats.  Loki just has much better back-up.
Ryu (BoF3) vs  Kefka (FF6) - Kefka.  Easytype form uses Bad Breath, wins.

Heavy:
Fei Wong Fong (XG) vs Renee Kearse (MK) - Renee.
Naoto Shirogane(P4) vs Hiro (Lunar:EBC) - Naoto...wow.  Loves Endure.

Middle:
Vormav Tingel (FFT) vs Kanji Tatsumi (P4) - Kanji.  Goes in as his sexy naked Bathhouse self, kicks some ass.
Adell (Disgaea 2) vs Yukiko Amagi (P4) - Yukiko.  Man, Adell...uh...is fucked by this match-up.

Light:
Landis (S3) vs Beecham (S3) - ...bleh.  Landis is faster, so...him, I guess.
Vinsfeld  (WA2) vs Serph (DDS) - Vinsfeld.  Upgrade to Godlike, damnit.  GHOST HYPE.

Middle:
Vormav Tingel (FFT) vs Kanji Tatsumi (P4) - Sure, Kanji's magic damage blows.  He's still getting at least four turns due to the insane HP, and the fact that Vormav's only getting one SBS off, leaving him to, what, basic physicals?
Adell (Disgaea 2) vs Yukiko Amagi (P4) - This is precisely the sort of opponent Adell fears.  Fire-immune evasive healer with good damage.  Also: holy shit a final I can vote on!

I do need to point out that Vormav's damage with his physical and his swordskills is the same (i.e. his damage is just not that impressive regardless).

Mighty sword's stronger than his basic physical. Kanji may well outslug with his magic, which is a damning comment on Vormav as a dueller.

Attack - 182 damage.
(MIGHTY SWORD, physical unevadable, requires a sword)
Shellbust Stab - 182 damage and destroy target's armour. Fails entirely if target has no armour or armour can not be broken.
Blastar Punch - 182 damage and destroy target's helmet. Fails entirely if target has no helmet or helmet can not be broken.

The breaks are obviously better duelling moves, but this is not what's in question here.

Heavy:
Naoto Shirogane(P4) vs Hiro (Lunar:EBC) - OHKOed! But Endure lets Naoto get a shot off anyway, and that's all that's needed.

Middle:
Vormav Tingel (FFT) vs Kanji Tatsumi (P4) - ... Yeah, thinking Kanji takes it but the fight's just silly.

Light:
Landis (S3) vs Beecham (S3) - ...uh...huh. Thinking.
Vinsfeld  (WA2) vs Serph (DDS) - Right.

Okay, that has to be wrong. I'm 100% sure mighty sword is stronger than Vormav's physical.

It... may be, yeah. Meliadoul's breaks certainly don't deal as much damage as her physical (they deal more), and I can't think of a reason why Vormav's breaks are different, it's the same move.

Godlike:
Piastol (SoA) vs Loki (VP1): Loki's defense matters more than Piastol's speed. Time to finally champ Loki!
Ryu (BoF3) vs  Kefka (FF6): I remember someone commenting that Ryu's physical durability was pretty awesome, and Back Row Only means Kefka doesn't OHKO.

Heavy:
Fei Wong Fong (XG) vs Renee Kearse (MK): Not in a Yamikei mood today.
Naoto Shirogane(P4) vs Hiro (Lunar:EBC): Three ID-vulnerables in a row. THREE. AND SHE WILL PROBABLY FACE A FOURTH NEXT WEEK. WHAT THE HELL, DL.

Middle:
Vormav Tingel (FFT) vs Kanji Tatsumi (P4): Not sure. Tend to think Kanji? On the other hand maybe I should just call Vormav his Zodiac form and move on.
Adell (Disgaea 2) vs Yukiko Amagi (P4): She may or may not have deserved to beat Halley but dear lord does she kick roast Adell's ass.

Light:
Landis (S3) vs Beecham (S3): Freeze.
Vinsfeld  (WA2) vs Serph (DDS): Just nod and smile. Nod and smile.

The reason Meliadoul, Orlandu, and Rofel's breaks deal more than their physicals is due to Knight Swords, which have bad physical attacks due to the Brave penalty to damage. Vormav has a Rune Blade, so his normal attacks experience no such penalty. (It's actually rather good for a normal attack, as such.)

Dark Sword and Mighty Sword do not do more damage than regular sword physicals, only Holy Sword does.

Hey, don't look at me. I put Kanji in Heavy.

Naoto has been a lucky bitch to run into a string of ID-vulnerables and will show her true colors when she encounters someone who isn't.

Yukiko may or may not have deserved to lose to Halley, I dunno. But Endure hasn't really been a major issue in any of her matches, despite it being extremely useful for her (probably most useful for Naoto, then Yukiko/Teddie)

Could have been worse - the entire cast could have been ranked Middle, and I definitely took Endure into account when doing my own rankings anyway (Kanji shouldn't have been in Middle, and I've gone over and over about how people undersold the hell out of Naoto, whose spoiling game is far better than people give credit for. Yukiko... eh, her matches so far had Endure as a complete non-factor anyway, and her case for beating Halley with Endure isn't any better than without. Which is to say she still robbed him in my eyes >_>).

EDIT: I also need to put forth the fact that Naoto -spoils the hell out of Fei- to boot.

Godlike:
Ryu (BoF3) vs  Kefka (FF6)- Kneejerk

Heavy:
Fei Wong Fong (XG) vs Renee Kearse (MK) - Thinking she and Azureflame can combine for the kill before both are killed off.
Naoto Shirogane(P4) vs Hiro (Lunar:EBC)- ID whoring alone wins you only so many matches. She gets one shot thanks to Endure, and I don't see it as reliable as most, so I see it finally missing.

Middle:
Vormav Tingel (FFT) vs Kanji Tatsumi (P4)- Kneejerk
Adell (Disgaea 2) vs Yukiko Amagi (P4)- Yukiko wins this match in so many ways...

Light:
Landis (S3) vs Beecham (S3) -

I thought we figured out the majority of Heavies were ID-vulnerable 40 seasons ago when people realised that Alys was good in the division. And she's fast + always gets two turns unless she faces someone with stone + make that 3 against anyone evadable = very good IDer. This is good luck on her part, but not exceptionally.

I have no idea why people keep thinking competent, fast ID whoring isn't that high-profile. That tends to deal with Godlike PCs, let alone Heavy. In Naoto's specific case, given how her slight accuracy for spoiling/effective survivability trade doesn't make her ID worse than high turn two, she just has too good a shot against anyone who can be IDed, which is too many people.

EDIT: Wait, finally got what Soppy meant. Nevermind.

Disagree on Kanji being a sure Heavy. He is beating a fairly weak half of Middle. He's too easily spoiled by status and evade to be a sure deal heavy, especially with how slow he is. We've seen the same thing with others (Dekar) before in the past.

He's like a 3.7-3.78 range fighter or so.
