Oh well, hopefully this look is non-permanent and the great Hal is filled with time and energy.  I miss Flonne icons.

Simple Machines is a wonderful forum build, yes. I'm surprised at the number of people here who hadn't seen/used it before. o_O

Also, am I the only one who thought the three red exclamation points on the folder icon to the left of the topic name was a bunch of sticks of dynamite? >_>

EDIT: Don't forget to take a quick spin through the "Look and Layout Preferences" menu in your profile page, there's some pretty nifty stuff in there (like auto-Quick Reply <3).

Oh.  As another point of random asthetic, getting rid of whatever causes the "Denizen" (I assume a postcount ranking system) from the display is also something to add to the "pointless stuff to be tweaked when the opportunity arises", assuming you can.  But I'm pretty sure it's possible.  Having those and custom titles together sucks.

You can make your title appear under your avatar by putting it in the "custom text" section. Clears up the clutter, at least.

New forum isn't as PSP friendly, but I doubt anyone else cares. >_>

Anyway, minor tweaks aside, this new forum seems pretty cool.  Design comments to wait until I get a chance to poke around on an actual computer.

Had a job interview Monday.  One of the panel members was too damn hot for her own good.  Pretty sure her time would be better spent getting naked for a magazine than trying to distract me from focusing on my interview!

Edit: Yeah this is Mepmep for anyone who doesn't know that.  I never used the word anymore and decided to lose all creativity and go with Chapin.

On forum notes... any way to change how many posts are displayed per page? 15 is terrible. I'd almost rather have 10 just for the easy math.

Also, as I can't be the only one who was annoyed by this: You can set the forum to return to the topic, rather than the main board, after posting, also in Look and Layout preferences.

Mmm, I didn't see anything about adjusting posts per page. I'd prefer something in the range of 40-50. 15 isn't close to enough.

Optimally we'd be able to choose. Personally I want something both big and a factor of 100. 25 would be best, 50's also cool. 20 in a pinch...

Also:

Hal, pleeeease, expand the sig limits. I'm not sure if I can live without my three-year old sig. :'(

Oh, something I forgot to mention!

Simple Machines, for whatever stupid reason, does not save copies of PMs you send out in an outbox or sentbox or anything like that by default. If you wish to save copies of your own PMs, make sure to turn on that option in the "Personal Message Options" menu.

EDIT: If you're into this sort of forum "competition" (or even if you're not), don't forget to check out the stats page, accessable via the "[More Stats]" link at the bottom of the forum index.
