I saw Bizarro Super today.

At first I was a little shocked--the guy looked a lot like Super:  same hair style, same looks kind of like a preteen face, same thunderbolt shaped scar on his face.  He was wearing some football Jersey, too, which I can imagine Super doing.  The only difference I could tell was that he was doing work out of a Differential Equations book.

I was amused.

I have a scar on my face?

You know, I was going to post a Harry Potter picture and pretend it was taken at DLCon but for some reason I can't find one of Radcliffe with the scar. Did they just decide that it was no longer there anymore or what?

Also, GISing "Harry Potter" with safesearch off was a very bad idea.
Don't think of it as a novel. Think of it as a chance to retroactively win every argument you have ever walked away from.

Completely. I've never read Harry Potter or seen the movies, if that's what he's ripping it from.

I thought I was the only one who knew a Super clone.

Though I haven't seen him since I graduated.

Did yours enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh too?

Oh, god.  I didn't TALK to him.  Why would I do that, especially when I run the risk of Bizzaro Math Super having the same bloody personality?

Get more pop culture Super.  You don't have to read or watch stuff to know basics about it.

Edit - Basics so you can mock things.

I only talked to him a few times, but I saw him playing Yu-Gi-Oh in the cafeteria with a friend at one point. Some guy showed up and started hassling him, which makes sense since people who enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh should have the proper shame to do so in private. He didn't start babbling about evil plans or NR so I guess he's not that close to Super.

Is that supposed to be the scar or some shit above his left eyebrow?

Yes that would appear to be what they did in the first movie for it.

I could've sworn it was right in the middle of the forehead in the first movie like it is in the books.

Random list of people I've worked with over the years at my job as a pizza nazi:

A Lawyer
About a dozen Navy NCO's, including one general manager
A guy on the run from the military police
A hentai drawing goth lesbian with pierced tits
A police officer
A firefighter
An ambulance driver
The guy who ran communications for the Navy SEALS at NAB little creek
A nurse
The man being groomed to replace the CEO of the company
A roadie for a rock band (His uncle's rock band. Weird but cool guy)
A stripper
A grandmother
A master saregent from the USMC
A Tennis teacher

Those are the memorable ones. There are countless Army/Navy guys, random drifters who hadn't figured out what to do in live, slackers, and high school kids trying to make a few bucks.

It's broadened my horizons, to say the least.

I'm going to be gone for all of Spring Break. I got invited to Canuck-land to hang out with the Vancouverities, so I'll be up there. I may pop online to bother you all, but I assure you I will be partaking in tourism and such things instead of being online. So yeah, after tonight and possibly some of tomorrow, I will be out until Sunday. Hope you don't miss me too much. ^_^

Been at home for the last week, keeping my nose to the grindstone on the paper portion of my thesis. For all that I hate this damn paper with every fiber of my being, I feel like the end is finally in sight. I've got a decently solid 40 pages, 5 or so other pages that are shaky as hell but I know what to do with them, and everything else I need I think I just figured out how to fit in and structure. And I've still got another month until it's due! Tomorrow I'll wake up early again and write all day (well, with plenty of intermittent breaks to play with my dogs and watch old episodes of Battlestar Galactica, of course, to prevent my head from exploding), as I've been doing since Monday, and I think that by the end of the day I'll have a pretty decent draft of the whole kit 'n caboodle to e-mail to my thesis advisor. Woo... woo hoo? Yeah, I'm feeling pretty good and will be feeling much, much better when the thing is over and done with.

Oh, and for the second week of my spring break I'll be back at school rehearsing for roughly eight hours a day. I am pretty pumped, because rehearsing is so much more enjoyable than writing. Good God, is it ever.

Only about a week and a half left of having my hand in a cast, too. So things are looking up.

If you'd want more opinions on the thesis, I wouldn't mind reading it.  I've read through walls of text of scientific literature, and will continue to do that for a while, so anything else would be neat.  Plus, hey, it sounded interesting when you noted the topic earlier, so...

Today was fun. Took the dog out, did yard work and read/did DL writeups. PRetty busy. Work was several hours of chaos as usual, so I'm dragging ass and forget to buckle my seatbelt.

The car I'm in gets pulled over. Whelp.

Turns out there was a busted taillight. We got a warning for it, which was lucky.

Dadaist hallucinations? Check.

Pft. I laugh at your puny normal person dreams. C+P from chat:

<Sierra_DeadDeadDeadskie> Oh god. Note to self: never, ever sleep for fourteen hours straight again.
<Shale> Why not?
* Sierra_PossibleHallucination had dreams involving Batman fighting a massive conspiracy to replace people with aliens, and after that one where Armageddon and Satan's march on Earth is somehow triggered by a bizarre trend in Spain of burning precious artworks.
<Sierra_PossibleHallucination> I'm still dizzy.
<Sierra_PossibleHallucination> Those are the parts that are *easy* to explain.
<Kotono> That sounds amusing.
<Sierra_PossibleHallucination> It should've been! It kind of wasn't.

[Break where other people talk!]

<Sierra_PossibleHallucination> You know, I'd take either of those over seeing swarms of cockroach demons burst out of the ground.
* Sierra_PossibleHallucination seriously thinks the Batman storyline coulda been awesome, though! It had aesthetics as awesome as Bladerunner and was apparently done in anime form. Eventually the PoV zoomed out and all that was on a TV. That's when the other dream started.

Also, I never realized how much Super looks like young Daniel Radcliffe.  Scary.

You lead such a sheltered life.

Who's up for forcing Super to write a 200 page dissertation on the development of the democratic party from Civil War Reconstruction to the present?
