Oh, forgot to explain. Basically the trip to New Orleans is for chemistry. I have to present a poster and answer questions of people about our project that I have been working on for the past year. Also as a representative of the effectiveness of my sponser's course in teaching chemistry in a non-traditional way, blah blah blah I get to eat Cajun food with money that isn't mine and I'm happy. What. <_<

don't forget to try the shrimp creole!
Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!

Today was werd, I went on a 10 hour LAN marathon to celebrate my little cousin's birthday. It was long and kinda tiring, but it was overall worth it! I had a crapload of fun and it was a blast.

Bum!

EDIT: Lance, how was Wrestlemania?

Whoa.  Someone actually remembered.

It was really fun, thanks for asking.  I've never been to an event that big before (74,000+ people in attendance), so it was a little overwhelming at first.  Still, everyone there was really excited about the show, so the air was buzzing with positive energy.  I took a ton of pictures, picked up a few souvenirs, and walked away with lots of great memories.  Good times.  Good times indeed.

Yeah, I'm not more than a very casual wrestling fan at this point and the card seemed pretty awesome. What was your favorite moment?

Hoo boy...favorite moments.  In no particular order:

- Matt Hardy returning to get some revenge on MVP
- Kane demolishing Chavo Guerrero in eight seconds
- Undertaker winning the title from Edge
- The standing ovation Ric Flair received after his retirement match
- John Morrison's ladder-assisted moonsault onto the other competitors on the floor
- Carlito and Mr. Kennedy dumping Shelton Benjamin from the top of the ladder onto the other ladder set up outside the ring
- CM Punk winning the Money in the Bank match

So I ordered Mana Khemia last night. I didn't get special shipping or anything, but the next afternoon it's here! Lucky! So I open it and it turns out it's the fuckin' French Canadian version. Not so lucky.

Nah, there's only so much you can write a seminar paper on bloody tax law at a single setting before your brain leaks out your ears, eyes, and nose.

Weee, maybe Biochem papers won't make me bleed so much?

Maybe?

...please?

So anyways, yeah, accepted to Messiah College and such, trying to scrounge up the $200 payment while at the same time wondering how the hell I'm going to pay for the Christ in Youth conference over the summer (due date is end of the month!) AND the money needed for my senior prom tickets/rentals/whatever else.

So yeah, short version: screw money.

Dude. Thanks for making me remember how much, at the end of the day, I still love thinking and writing about theater.

The run went well last night. Working on my paper now, hopefully will have it finished before the performance tonight. That's the plan, anyway. I am so stoked for the shows this weekend.

So today was supposed to feature the first installment of the FFTA stat topic. Unfortunately, due to the fact that the disk I used to save the Word document seems to be corrupt, and has fragged the only PC with a floppy in the house, you'll have to wait until I can transcribe it manually. Darn it, and I actually had done something for once.

Umm yeah, first week of job done.  Technically I'm a Research Analyst, although we seem to do more data manipulation/insertion than actual research.  Still, fun so far.  There's a ton of freedom on the job.  I make my own lunch hour, choose how long it is, choose when I come in (long as it's not too out of control), set a schedule for when I do stuff, etc.  Also, I only have to wear Polo shirt and khakis, thank god for no tie etc.

Pay is decent enough for now, it's a state job so the benefits are fun.  I'm hoping the promotions are merit based, not time based, since from what I'm being told I'm well ahead of where they expected me to be after a week.  It is me and data though soo... yeah.

I'll be on IRC less during the week and until I move into Salem I won't be posting much during the week either.  Once I get into Salem I'll save over an hour a day driving so I'll have a bit more free time to post and let you all worship the Nino avatar.  Until then (June I think) you'll probably be hearing more from me only on weekends.

As for other life shit.  My mom's best friend has pancreatic cancer and has been in/out of ICU for 4 weeks now.  Doctors still not sure why exactly she keeps getting worse which is a bad thing.  Meanwhile, one of my dad's best friends (was his best man at wedding) just got diagnoses with terminal cancer.  So that kind of sucks for them back to back.

On the plus side, my sister had her 2nd kid on Wedsnesday, so spirits aren't totally down.
