Moved.  Now 10 minutes and 4 miles from work, as opposed to 25-30 minutes and 18 miles.  Save time and money, yay or something.

However, my 140 sq. foot bedroom is now a 110 sq. foot bedroom.  Unpacking has been a baffling ordeal.

Now I'm just getting the image of some sort of all dog Sweeney Todd performance, with terrible 90s animatronics. Sweeney, played by a beagle, slits the throats of English Sheepdogs with an adorable little razor he holds in his mouth. Awwww.

Also, did you know they're selling ice cream treats for dogs? No shit, I saw it at Walmart. Ice cream. For dogs.

I bought some for my dog tonight. She loves 'em like nothing else.

I've heard of doggie ice cream, because I buy it for my dog.  I crush up doggie oreos and make a doggie Blizzard.  He loves it.  It's a bad idea to give it to a dog when it's not anything less that 90 degrees or he gets a brain freeze.

That sounds hilariously adorable. Poor dog.

Also, cinema = no talking to the person for two hours = bad dating spot. Unless you're both big movie fans, naturally. (I'm not.)

And yet, the cinema is like the biggest dating spot or something.  Yeah, I don't get it either.

Also, another congrats to Snow.

Hahahahahah.  Haaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahaha.  HAAAAAAAAHAHAHA.  Oh, god, please tell me you're joking.  Heheheh.  Haaaaaaahahahaaaha...

As a resident not-terribly-interested-in-sex-person I have to second the joke part.

The theater is for doing things couples do together that don't involve talking, in the dark, for two hours. Silly not-rabbits.

(This doesn't change the fact that it's vaguely weird that people make out in public places, or that they feel a need to blow a dozen dollars doing this, but hey.)

I think anyone who isn't living under a rock knows what some couples do at the movies. Doesn't mean you find it to be a worthy investment. <_<

The real kicker is some couples go to the movies just for the part where they don't have to talk to each other for two hours.  Nothing like a relationship to make you realize just how fundamentally boring you are as a person.
Rocky: you do know what an A-bomb is, right?
Bullwinkle: A-bomb is what some people call our show!
Rocky: I don't think that's very funny...
Bullwinkle: Neither do they, apparently!

Yeah, what Jim said. I know some people do it for that reason, not that I consider it a good sign of relationship health. <_< And certainly bad when you're actually trying to, presumably, get to know the person.

I'm well aware of what some people do at movie theatres, though generally figure such things can be done at one person's home for free. Maybe I'm being too pragmatic.

Pragmatism is kind of the type of stuff people tend to forget utterly in romantic affairs, so maybe that's the whole point. >_>

Uh... not that I've taken all too many dates to the movies (At least not in the early stages of the relationship) but it at least gives you something to talk about after dinner if/when the usual topics fail. "What'd you think of that thing we just saw?"

I just broke up with my girlfriend of over two years. This... hurts. Rather a lot. Enough that I'm apparently attempting to channel some of said pain into the internets in a misguided attempt to assuage it. For fuck's sake.

If it's any condolences, Strago, at least your girlfriend didn't pass out drunk and naked on a couch at a party before you broke up with her!

...and if she did, I can empathize with you completely!

Better to have loved and lost, and many other unhelpful cliches that I will espouse instead of doing anything useful because I can't.

In other words, sorry to hear it but there's really nothing any of us could say that will really help.
