Typing from my dorm at Messiah College. Moved in, things are going pretty well. Three people in a two-person room is kinda cramped, and I've got my dresser in a closet right now o_o. Book buying might be annoying, but I might have actually just tested out of 1st level German at a school with required language courses, so yay for happy things.

Also, it's raining. A lot.

So today I am going to have minor surgery to get an infection removed from my lower eyelid. Fun fun. Supposed to be short, and at least I'll look like a pirate afterwards, but anything involving sharp objects and my eyes is sort of squick.

If something goes horribly wrong, I leave Excal's PSP and XF to Ciato.

On a side note, if you wanted to leave my stuff to Ciato, you probably should have waited until after the surgery to return them. Just saying is all.

Procedure was extremely painful. Apparently even with local anesthetic your body objects to any attack on your eye. The fact that I didn't faint is apparently worth noting and a good thing.

Besides that, at least it was short, and hey, it's over.

I'm just too much of a pansy and would rather die in a slumber than live in pain. <_<; But I'm a bit used to general anaesthetic usage due to the ear drum surgeries I had.

Ear half sliced off to allow doctor access to my inner ear is a goooood reason for gen anesthetic. Out for hours.

Try using different servers, or connecting straight to the IP address. I find atarians to be the best for connecting if there's problems.

So after a stressful day of being capped on the internet and spending all day trying to use it for things, then wrestling with Registry stuff so I can reinstall BG2 to replay it. Angry with only 2 hours sleep.

Now I have BG2 installed and am not proceeding anywhere.

Just sitting listening to some Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds drinking some herbal infusion tea from a Japanese tea set (lawl accurate I am sure). And... shocking actually really relaxing. Not great tasting tea, but palatable and certainly effective. I think I will pick up a kettle for downstairs here at our house and maybe look into getting some green teas tommorow to go with my three herbal set.

Gref, green teas are best brewed at 180F (82C), significantly cooler than boiling. Get yourself a cooking thermometer and you, too, can have the best green tea ever.

Wait what? General anaesthetic is scary? Man getting my wisdom teeth out, being awake is the last thing I want. Having had eye surgery as well, getting anything done even around there you do not want to be up for in my mind.

And yeah Jim, I know Green Teas brew at cooler than black teas or most infusions. The effort factor is why I grabbed the herbals instead at first. Which makes me want to go have some more. Just woken up, some Refresh will be nice.

Just spreadin' the tea gospel. I'm a horrific snob when it comes to tea.

Also, just spent the day chopping tomatoes and onions, hunting for canning jars, and generally assisting my girlfriend as she makes tomato sauce. Awesome, but seeing as we started from about 120 lbs of tomatoes, kinda tiring. On the plus side, we now have a little over 2 years' worth of the stuff.
