Ah, that's the rub. Rent and tuition you have control over. Books are bendoverandtakeit. 'sides, the cost difference between rent and books isn't that large when there aren't 8 million people trying to fit in 1 million slots, so clearly your point is moot for everyone else here ('cept Sopko)!

(Also of course only super was actually whining. Everyone else was telling him to shut up~)

For rent, you get a place to live. For tuition, you get education. For textbook costs, you get... books. Often ones you will never read again. Sometimes ones you don't even really need for anything other than busywork questions. Or different editions of books you already have, because the professor insists on everyone having the exact edition of The Cerci that she wants, because she wants to 'support the college bookstore' and therefore selects some godforsaken 1970 printing that isn't even listed on Amazon and costs $30 in the bookstore even though it only contains one play. Ahem.

Total here is going to come to something over $400 for books. DLcon status still up in the air.

Yeah, most of my labs are during the not-Friday days, but... well, I have TAing for a lab on Monday, night class on Tuesday, research on Wednesday, lab on Thursday and Friday, so my afternoons are once again pretty packed.
