Rayquaza (vs Cristo)
« on: October 14, 2009, 05:57:00 AM »
The Lord of the Sky returns to face down... a hapless cleric.  The Duelling League is a silly place.  However, Cristo is not without resources, and does a commendable job of blunting Rayquaza's preferred strategy.  His Upper spells and the looming threat of a successful Beat make a Dragon Dance buffed assault a losing prospect, but this dragon is not without counters.  No, Rayquaza must make use of the more neglected aspects of its skillset, Twister and Outrage.  While Twister's odds of flinching are normally too poor for use in Heavy, against an obsessively defensive fighter like Cristo, waiting until those odds break in Rayquaza's favor, followed by a decisive Outrage assault, are the legend's best strategy.  Time consuming, perhaps, but for an immortal dragon, time is relative.
