Assuming we in a similar location to last time, we should be close enough to the market anyways that if someone has some different food needs/preferences (Or like me, wants to get up 3 hours later than everyone else!) they should be able to fend for themselves.

We've MEANT to have one, though I can't recall what the one at 3 was supposed to be... Meeple was supposed to show Blazing Saddles at 4 but that fell by the wayside with people doing stuff.

I have that, Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, Hard Rock Zombies and Silent Night Deadly Night 2 (aka GARBAGE DAY) all floating around and I will be bringing at least a portable hard drive with me.  So a PS3 and we are good to go.

Tickets for me to get places are very good at the moment with the Australian Dollar at a strong point and we are in the time frame where ticket prices drop for booking 8 months in advance.

I would really like to try and get something fairly solid with timing hear so that I can get tickets soon.

Do we have the tentative dates of Aug 13-16, 2010 fairly solidified here or were we still waiting on any extenuating circumstances here?

Edit - Just to clarify, I know this is well in advance, but I am talking on the magnitude of over a thousand dollars difference, which is quite obviously the difference between me being able to be nice and fuck about with money or be piss poor when I come to these things and I LIKE being funded enough that I can do dumb shit with my money and not really care.

Okay fuck it whatever for dates.

Is anyone sticking around the SF area AFTER the Con to do stuff at all, trying to sort out in my head some accomodation plans or whatever (If someone is getting a room for the duration of the con I am cool to just pay full price for the place after the con, that makes things easy).

I will be talking with my boss regarding leave and stuff next week, so hey put your hand up and say "Yes this is kind of what I plan to do" if you have any damned clue what is going on.

Well, whether I stay longer or not depends on what others are doing.  If there are at least a small group of people (say 3 or 4) who are staying in the area I'd be willing to stay as well.  Naturally, I don't want to do this shit alone, cause this is the kind of stuff you do with a group, be it your family or friends or homicidal maniacs holding you at gunpoint.

So yeah, I guess I count as a "yes".

Anyway, I haven't been in the forums for awhile, but Gate let me know there were posts here again, so replying.  Unless anyone comes up with a glaring reason, I'm going with the Aug 13-16th range for the con.  It seemed to allow the most people to attend.  When I start hunting for a place in a month or so to host us again, those are the dates I'll be giving out.  So, speak now or forever hold your peace on those dates.

Same here. Not travelling to the US for the first time just to stay for one weekend.

It would be his first time in America, so I'd like to stay after the con more with him so he can see more of the country than just us gamers.
