I discovered this site through Meeple's GameFAQs sig. After lurking for a while, I decided to sign up, since it seems like a pretty cool place. On GameFAQs, I go by the name of shadow chao 10, though please don't call me that as I despise that name and the Sonic series now.
Meeple will probably recognise me as that crazy Meeple Fantasy 6 fanboy who posts about it in every topic even when it's not remotely related...Well...yeah, that's me <.< I am also a big fan of the FF, FE and KH series, and...well, you should be able to see my taste in games from looking at the list I've posted in the RPG Ratings thread. If you don't recognise a game on there, it's probably an RPG Maker game. It's a crying shame that they're generally unrecognised in RPG communities. I had to refrain from putting every RPG Maker game I've ever played on here, or the list would be almost entirely populated by them. I simply put the ones that could probably pass as real games, not the crazy, clearly fan-made ones like cRaZy_gUy's Journey...not that that game is at all bad - in fact, it would get a 10/10 if I were to place it on this list!
I recently discovered the awesomeness of FFXI, which despite my usual hatred of MMOs, I absolutely love and see as a main series FF game through and through. It saddens me that I dismissed it as a sucky online game when it first came out, as I would have loved to be part of it when it was more active. The plot is possibly the best of the series so far - the only problem being it has even worse pacing than FFXII thanks to the innately grind-heavy nature of it. 20 hours per plot scene, yay! So, yeah, I will likely not be around here too much due to FFXI taking over a large portion of my life >.>
I look forward to being a part of this community and voting on the few matches where I know enough about the games involved to do so. And if you did read all of this, well, thank you! I'll stop here before this post becomes far too long for its own good :p
