Dragon Age is a hard rank. While I enjoyed the game thoroughly (the dialogue was supremely snazzy and the characters were great), the actual game itself felt pretty damn rough around the edges. Clunky interface, challenge that varied somewhere between "Would you kindly cease penetrating me from behind. good sir?" and "lulz Cone of Cold," slow gameplay and mediocre pacing, it feels at about the right spot right where it is. Its a cool game and I dug it, but it is just really, really flawed.

What did you play it on? Unlike most games, it really shows that the interface was optimized for PCs and then ported to consoles.

I did play it on PC, actually. I'm pretty sure I would have ranked it down one more time if I'd played it on console. Not having the overhead view would have driven me nuts. Hell, it feels like it'd honestly be unplayable.

Arc: Twilight of the Spirits and Fire Emblem 4 moved down from 10 to 9
Fire Emblem 10 moved up from 9 to 10
Digital Devil Saga 2 moved down from 9 to 8
Super Paper Mario moved down from 9 to 7
A Blurred Line moved down from 8 to 7
FF4 Advance moved down from 8 to 7
Fire Emblem 9 moved up from 8 to 9
Legend of Legaia moved up from 8 to 9
FF3 DS moved up from 5 to 6
Dark Chronicle moved down from 6 to 5

I can't believe I've only played one new game in almost a year o.o

Finally got to adding Unlimited Saga at 0/10. The game did a bunch of new unique ideas, tried to be ambitious, etc. It just screwed ALL OF THEM UP. People say "YOU CHOSE THE WRONG STORY" for my first, but you know what? The nature of the game gave me absolutely no enjoyment whatsoever. It was one of the most boring experiences of all time, does just about everything wrong with an RPG, and I saw absolutely nothing redeeming about it. That's 0/10 material.

Fallout: New Vegas gets a 10.

Yes, it has some bugs, apparently. I've not encountered them myself. But anyway, the game would get a 10 based on Vault 11 alone. Vault fuckin 11!!!!!

But yeah. Fuckin love FONV. Even without any mods yet. I just dig the characters and the world. And shit always feels like it happens because of you, rather than to you.

Added Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale at 6/10. Think it's good enough to get that above 5 rating but it's really pushing that line...

Added Saga Frontier at 8/10. Yeah I liked this one; very creative and generally fun, though too flawed for a 9.
Added Suikoden Tierkreis at 7/10. Yeah I liked this one's story; game's a slightly inferior S2 overall.

Final Fantasy 7 down one to 7/10 - Mostly a victim of reshuffling
Final Fantasy 3 and Wild Arms 5 both down one to 6/10 - As above, but neither game is aging super-well to me anyway
Shining Force 2 up one to 4/10 - Decent enough SRPG for this, I find myself remembering it with more fondness than I do my 3's
Suikoden 4 down one to 3/10 - Speaking of 3's, hi. Not a game aging well at all, so it can afford a one-rank gap between it and S1.

Man, you like Saga Frontier more than I do.

EDIT: Not that it's particularly -hard-, but that still surprises me a lot.
