Added Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked at 7/10. Objectively, it's more of a 5 or 6, but that certainly undersells how much I enjoyed playing it. It could've been much worse as far as Atlus experiments on SRPG environments go.

Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. at a tentative 8/10. Ideally, it'd be at least 8.5/10, but I like my numbers round.

Glorious IntSys

Added Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. at 7/10. I feel like I should like this game a bit more than I do, hence its somewhat awkward placement as the bottom 7, the tiebreak for it versus 6 has more to do with my objective feelings on the game. Definitely a game I need to replay as I feel it might benefit from that? We'll see.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones up to 9/10
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance down to 8/10

So after playing/watching all four of the my favourite FE games (7-10) over the past few months, it's given me a good chance to analyse them against each other. FE10's the best, we all know that. 8 vs. 9 is interesting. When I first played FE8 I was a bit disappointed especially by the lategame of NM because the promoted enemies are either bugged or deliberately horrible (probably the former) which leads to a stomping which just isn't much fun. But these days I always play it on HM, and it's a great game there. Compared to FE9, it has better challenge (again, HM), stronger overall writing (not having Ashnard ftw!), a better shop system (second only to FE10 for best in the series), more polish (things like showing how close you are to weapon ranks), the ability to turn off animations, branching promotions, and two routes. FE9's main advantages are the far better support system, not having the aforementioned thing about NM enemies, fixed mode I guess, and better humour, but weighed against all FE8's advantages that really doesn't seem like much these days. Especially since you don't need to play FE8 NM if you don't want to!

FE7 vs. FE8 is very close to me and I can see going either way there, I won't get into all the details but I do prefer 7 slightly (biggest reason is ranked FE7 gameplay is a terrific in-game challenge, yes I've long since accepted that I'm weird and the only DLer who cares about this). FE10 > both > FE9.

Also I could add Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, but I'm both not done it and for some reason I haven't ever added Pokemon remakes to these before (or many other remakes) so probably won't start now.

Code Name S.T.E.A.M. down 1 to 6/10 (went from the bottom 7 to the top 6). No way around it, for now at least my feelings are closer to the other 6's than the other 7's.

Final Fantasy Dimensions added at 7/10. FF5, with some ups and downs, but pacing is always so important and I doubt it will ever get the 10+ replays FF5 got, and its writing is just as bad as FF5's. That said, FF5 is still a great game to crib off, and that class system is a lot of fun.

Celestian Tales: Old North added at 6/10. Perhaps the only RPG I've ever played where I feel that it could have earned a higher score, but its amount of content is too limited.

Wizard of Oz down 1 to 5/10. Just don't think it compares that favourably to other similar, low-budget, simple-but-effective RPGs I've played since.

Super Mario RPG up slightly, still at 5/10.

Final Fantasy 8 up 1 to 4/10
Disgaea up 1 to 3/10

I've probably been a bit too hard on both of these games in the past.

Legend of Legacy added at 3/10

Wanted to like this one more. Oh well. Like my other 3/10's it's not a game I consider bad but definitely doesn't do enough things right for a better rating.

Undertale added at 9/10. The game is brilliant. It has some drawbacks (graphics as you might expect for an indie game, random battles aren't super-exciting and probably hurt replays some) but overall it is unique and great and was the best RPG of the past five years to me when I'd played it.

Of course I promptly played Fire Emblem Fates a few months later, which gets added at 10/10. This score is mostly for Conquest but Conquest alone is a full game and I have no problem with scoring it appropriately. If I scored the other two paths separately they're probably 8/10 material, maybe as high as 9. Anyway Conquest is pretty freaking close to gameplay perfection, and writing concerns are the only reason I haven't placed it above Radiant Dawn... I actually kinda think I may at the end of the day (it certainly has advantages on writing, like a solid cast and some of the best-written supports in the series for them to play around with, and wins most other things outright), but I definitely want the game to "prove itself" and see if I still feel as positively about the game after more time and more replays.

Some internal shuffling as I moved Chrono Trigger up some, the older I get the more I appreciate that pacing on an otherwise all-around excellent product. I realised that I had no trouble moving Undertale above a bunch of my 9's, but not above CT... I think? Now I'm wondering about that. Oh well, this works for now. Also, Radiant Dawn moved above WA4 and S3 to be my #3 game. This change, on the other hand, I'm confident in. The best of FE holds a special place in my heart, and only FFT and FFX, my unquestioned two all-time favourites, can beat that these days.
