Gilbert has had 20 seasons to plan a triumphant return to the arena, and with his cunning wit, you know that he’s used that time to plan nearly unfoiling plots to ensure that he reaches the top. Granted, he may not have to unveil these plots against Jecht. While the blitzball king may have a durability edge, Gilbert’s notably superior damage and his immunity to Stone and Delay and should mean that he should have the upper hand; especially since he can always finish off the match with an explosive combo attack. Once he gets going, Gilbert is even surprisingly fast due to having excellent recharge times on his attacks. After such a long hiatus, he’s ready to prove just how powerful he truly is.
