All that holy blessing does is suppliment his mortal powers as a gunner. Sasarai specializes in magical combat; he has no defenses against something so earthly and normal as a gunshot. Dear Friend will tear through the Harmonian priest, and not even the world shaking powers of Land of Eternity can kill Billy, who's spirituality helps protect him against such vile magical assaults.
