What are the chances of this getting ranked and is anyone planning on doing a stat topic for it?

There is a DS version coming out?  I knew there was PSP remake.  Or did you mean the GBC game (Blue Sphere?) or uh something else entirely?

Anyway, I would say any remakes or anything depends highly on whether or not they get released in English, Blue Sphere would be a massive hell no but has a stat topic somewhere already.

IF the remake comes out on DS I would almost be prepared to say it is a lock for ranking eventually based on market share and the series being a decent draw.  PSP ... not so sure.

Stat topics for unreleased games is a bit early to call on who would likely do it.

Edit - So both SO remakes on PSP are out in Japan, which means not unreleased.  But still point kind of stands.  Japanese only language games don't have tooooons of stat topics, it could happen though.

I'd bet on Dhyer doing a SO1 stat topic when and if it comes out in Englihs, at least.

As far as the DL? I'd like to personally start ranking some more portable games (Or.. anything current gen) and SO1 does have the SNES version. It'd be a pretty solid rank down the line, if it got some internal.

Yes, if it came out here, chances are pretty good that I'd do a stat topic since it's defense/evasion math would probably be pretty similar to SO 2 and since it uses a battle system that I really like. As for ranking, it hasn't even come out here yet! Or been announced. That said, it might not have the most interesting duellers since there are likely a lot of fighters with varying shades of damages, but can't be sure of that one way or the other until the game comes out (Or until someone writes an FAQ for it).

Also, does Eris mean that there's a second playable Winged character? Does this affect gameplay at all?

I'd second super's idea of ranking SO1 based off the SNES version. But if this PSP version gets translated, it's a better rank in general.

Welchie is that girl with pointy finger stick in SO3. And yeah, she probably is a 4Der like most have gussed, or out right a Tri-Ace employee breaking the 4th wall.

Eris does affects gameplay, as she fights completly different than when she is Marvel. Eris is just a mage, but a uber one that can learn basically anything. She also have diffrent PA and ending than Marvel. Just to get her, you must keep that crappy Joshua.
