That is pretty much spot on assessment of Apocalyptica there.  What do you think of their Sepultura covers?  Also I am glad they have the occasional vocal track, it breaks up a session of listening to them nicely and some of their guest vocalists are good times.  Also introduced me to Guano Apes which is ++good.

Apoc's had some damn good vocal tracks (Hope, I don't care, Anything but love) but it is a mixed bag. Ruska is their best song so I can't argue too much, though.

Sara Bareilles - Uncharted

So, her new album is out.  I love the instrumentation she uses in it.  King of Anything is still my favourite, but...this is good.  Very good.  Need to listen to the rest of the album, but I love what she does.  Her vocal ability is awesome, and her musical talent in general is fantastic.  Very impressed with this.

Some music news to break Gref, along with anyone else with any respectable taste in music: http://www.dreamtheater.net/ - Mike Portnoy quits Dream Theater. Hopefully, this'll mean some new and awesome stuff from him, but I can't help but wonder what this means for the rest of the band - they're good, sure, but nowhere near as much without Portnoy.

Myung and Petrucci easilly are worth watching for other works, Rudess also is amazing.  Lebrie is good but decent singers are not really something I watch.  Anyways, yeah Portnoy leaving is pretty huge, one of the founding members of the band, leaves Petrucci and Myung left of the founders.

He was also pretty deeply involved with the writing of the music, but the others have easilly written enough other tracks on DT albums that are good, so musically they should still be worth following, they just have to replace an insanely good technical drummer with another.

On the other hand, might mean more hopes for LTE stuff in the future maybe please kthx?
