Das Racist - Rainbow in the Dark

Despite my unreasonable (?) dislike for the city of New York, Das Racist really makes me want to visit Queens so I can ~~stalk~~ see them.

After perusing and discovering more artists, I will soon listen to the Hood Internet's mash of TYM and CSD Dougie. I expect greatness.

Mumford and Sons - Awake My Soul

I haven't listened to an album that's far bigger than the sum of its parts since like Lost In Space from Aimee Mann. Sigh No More is definitely an example of such an album, though. Amazing emotional charge.

Truth be told, in terms of songs, I honestly don't think much of individual parts there. You may well be right about that (and I even agree looking at it a bit closer). However, as I said, the album is more about its emotional voltage throughout whatever songs it has rather than having good individual pieces all the way. That's how it's bigger than the sum of its parts, since it -should- be smaller than it actually is objectively.

Mumford and Sons - Little Lion Man

This is one of the good individual pieces, though.

EDIT: I also have to note that Lost In Space is also bigger than Sigh No More in how it actually has no songs that are individually poor, and they all build a very cohesive whole to the work. But then, Aimee Mann and elegance.

There is a reason Little Lion Man won the Hottest 100 this year. I disagree with people that it is the best on the album (The Cave is probably better), but yeah they have a couple of invididual songs on there.

The Cave? The Cave is among the best in the album, I agree. Not sure which is better between Little Lion Man and The Cave, though. Speaking of which.
