Yeah, I'm definitely bookmarking that site and checking it from now on.  The Nostalgia Critic certainly doesn't do false advertising.  And also has pretty awesome taste in musical songs (the villain song list).

...I don't even know.

Awesome.  I'm not sure why the police are hunting for her, either--it's not like graffiti where it does damage to the object--you can remove it with a pair of scissors.

Miss England competition ditches swimsuit round for sports.

For you people in NYC:

Free Macarons on March 20

Thanks for the heads up.  Probably won't be able to make it to the city that day, alas.

Of course the creators are protesting, there wouldn't be any Japanese comics if you banned sex.

YouTube is claiming that the Viacom-owned videos they were sued about two years ago were uploaded by Viacom itself.

Y'know, I don't imagine that lawyers make a habit of speaking openly about ongoing cases.  Must be pretty damn sure that that story is air-tight and probably true.

Well, someone leaked it, and if it wasn't a lawyer, t was probably someone who consulted one.  We're getting all this information because one of the parties thinks it's in their best interest to reveal it, for whatever reason.  They're probably looking to settle and trying to make the terms are favorable to them.

Leaked by YouTube's chief counsel even.  Soooo yeah probably some reason for that information being announced loudly on a blog.

It's always a good idea whenever something juicy works its way to the papers to ask who benefits from the leak (and whether it's actually true).  I'm not so credulous as to believe that the revelation of Massa's touching-young-men scandal, for example, is not somehow related timing-wise to his opposition to the Democratic health care plan.  It's possible, sure, but my money's on the conspiracy.

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=355156

Basically the most complete Civ5 news thread I have found. Among some more awesome features:

-You no longer need to construct separate transports for your units. A unit can move on to a water square and turn in to an improvised, unarmed era-appropriate transport. This means that navies will be way more important.,

-No stacking, which fixes so much about Civ.

-Losing a battle no longer automatically means that a unit is destroyed (which can still happen)

One of my favorite changes:

Quote
Each leader has a personality made from a combination of several different 'flavors' along a ten point scale, each game the impact that a certain flavor has over this civ can be +/- two points , allowing for a different experience each game. For example Russia may have a score of 8 for their expansion flavor but at the start of the game the actual score could be any where from 6 to 10.

God, that seems like it could get quite hectic indeed with Randomized Personalities. (IMO the only way to play. Psycho Gandhi >>> you)

I would imagine randomized personalities would mean randomizing these scores, which would get pretty crazy.

Most of this is pretty well known as videogame psychology goes, but worth a skim.

To be fair, this article was a pretty big deal...back in 2001 when it was first posted.  Though yeah, I think everyone in game development has heard about the rat experiments by now.

Best toy ever. I wish stuff like that was around when I was growing up.

Your link sent me on a hilarious loop: No results, and it asked, "Did you mean 2850496?" I would click it to see, and it would then display no results and ask, "Did you mean 2850497?" And it started all over.
