45/90.  Lotta random guesses.  Only one I knew I'd heard and should've gotten was Gyromite.

34/90. 22/90 of those are legit, I recognised the track and wrote down the correct name. The other 12 are guesses. The most hilarious guess being one I punched in with less than two seconds left: what's the shortest game name I can think of! (hint: it's three letters)

Star Fox 64 and Lemmings are the only games I'd played for long enough that I might feel bad about missing their music (and both were over a decade ago / their music made no impression on me even at the time I'm pretty sure). A few others I've played bits of but the same disclaimer applies, so really I did about as well as I reasonably could have.

Of all the countries that pledged money to Haiti after the earthquake, four have delivered any at all.

OMG TEH DOUBLE POST

Buried in this interview about Axe Cop getting a publishing deal (best cover ever) is the announcement of something far more earth-shattering: a crossover with Dr. McNinja.

23/90.

I fail for missing 8:53-9:00. I kept saying, "Wait, what? They already used FFT."

SAKIMOTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yeah, same here.  "Okay let's try FFTA2.  No?  FFTA?  Vagrant Story?  FFTA2 again? ...  damn."

I'm about to start that game right now too, so obviously I had my order wrong.

26 / 90 myself, no wild guesses.  The only one other than the above I feel sorry about (as I *had* listened to the soundtrack of 8:53) was (Tales of Vesperia), another soundtrack-only option that I nevertheless recognized but couldn't place.  I played (Dreamfall) semi-recently and loved it but man did they pick a random unmemorable piece from it, so not going to feel bad about that one, and everything else I didn't really play much.  I'll brag in the obscura / nostalgia category of nabbing (Bubble Bobble, Faxanadu, and Kid Icarus) as well, though some of their picks seemed a bit TOO obscure for my tastes.

Random number manipulation for DQ9.  Don't know if it works on North American version though.

Bubble Bobble so doesn't count as obscure; they have a page summing up what percentage of people guessed each piece of music, and it was the 20th most guessed game.  Ahead of stuff like Team Fortress 2, Mario Kart Double Dash, Paper Mario, Final Fantasy Tactics, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night....

Although sure: only 11% of test takers guessed it, but there are very few games above 20% guess rate (only 8 games) fewer still above 30% guess rate (only 3 games) and only one game above 40% guess rate (Super Mario Bros...which has 95% guess rate), so...11% guess rate is still relatively high for this quiz.  Especially considering Bubble Bobble isn't likely to be inflated by people typing in random guesses, and was towards the end of the track (which I'm betting makes a difference--I know I got two passes at the early tracks, and only one at the later tracks...and I'm betting some people do half the quiz then get called away from the computer.  *checks* yes 70% of the top 20 most-recognized are from the first half of the track, so there's probably some statistical significance there).

Terranigma is pretty damn obscure, though I imagine a number of DLers picked up on it.

Come to think of it, I think my first encounter with that game and particular track was one of the early music quizzes.

In some corners of the internet, 24/7 streaming webcam links to all sorts of things are popular.  Zoos with cute animals, streets, random buildings in countries all around the world, and more, all providing random zone-out entertainment for netizens.

In Texas we have this.

does anyone actually watch webcam feeds?  I've tried to get ino them on a couple occasions, and always got bored an stpped after five minutes of nothing happening.  As it turns out, truly uncencored uncut life is...pretty boring.

Though sure: this is the best use of webcam stream I've seen (at least it's not pointless like the others).

Went and did the quiz thing, got 24/90.

Bubble Bobble was my weirdest guess, and yeah, I thought the SF track was Tri-Ace too.

Didn't miss anything I felt bad about either!

I'm sorry, but you set the bar far too high with cancer patient/mouth laser/boy band Jesus.  This video does not qualify as being even remotely crazy.
