Guess what? Popular Science just made its entire archive public for free. All 137 years of it.

Q: Will this just be some crappy emulated version of the game?
A: What?  No!  How dare you!  TF2 will run natively on OSX, like a big boy game for adults.

...

Mac and PC users will all play together, on the same servers. We're not creating two separate universes. We're all going to be one big, happy family with guns locked in a bloody, never-ending struggle for cap points.

So when are all you morons who have been missing out on TF2 goodness because your gimp computer of dumbass choice is gay a mac going to join in on the fun?

So the gubment's doing something right and doing a nation-wide test of internet speeds, to test the actual connection quality compared to that promised by the telecoms.  Everyone in the US should participate because then hey maybe there will be some sort of regulations set about this kinda thing.

Fun to note that the painting of the referenced in the beginning of the clip is the autopsy of an executed murderer, it having been performed at a time when it was considered ungodly to muck around with the bodies of people who were not mortal sinners.

Awesome.

I think it's better if you know what's coming too (like the fact he keeps lamenting the lack of dirt bikes).

An orange dwarf star is headed on a COLLISION COURSE WITH OUR SOLAR SYSTEM. Fortunately, we have approximately 1.5 million years to prepare, which means we need to immediately begin a selective breeding program using the casts of Armageddon, Deep Impact, and every other movie to use that idea. Over time, we will have created the greatest space drill nuke planets the universe has ever known, and they will be able to drill a hole in to the core of that star and blow it up from within.

To be fair, the star is only expected to pass within the Oort Cloud of the solar system, not smash straight into us, which would shake loose lots of comets and send some our way. Which only makes the Armageddon/Deep Impact plan more apt.

Maybe.

It's also noteworthy that the distances we're talking about with the Oort Cloud are like...one light year or more from us.  Most comets don't travel anywhere near lightspeed, so this should give us quite a while to prepare (like...we're talking a hundred to a thousand years for most of the ones that'd come our way).

Also, there's a star 4 light years away -right now-.  Yeah, 1-2 light years away is considerably closer, but it's hardly a collision course.

Hey - what's going on?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWw5YdW57Es#

Wait, did he-man always have a blond little-girl haircut, and wear a pink V-neck number?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yeA7a0uS3A

Apparently so.  And not only that, in the opening he refers to some kind of "fabulous secret"!

Eh, just get the guys from Gurren Lagen, they're into drills.

You know, the more I think about this one, the less threatening it seems.  I mean, the article says this happens about once every 2 million years, right?  That means the human race lived through this several times back when we were just African apes.

It is even more strangely close to the one used in Robot Chicken which kind of freaks me out (His other stuff is good to, highly reccomend it).
