Seriously, though, there shouldn't be a problem with bringing your own bags. They aren't expensive. It just takes time to get into the habit of actually bringing them.

They're also a basically superior product; they hold more, are easier on the hands, and break far less often.

It seems very similar to another, wildly successful small-scale economic incentive program, the bottle deposit. There are those who'll complain for a while, but ultimately it's minor enough that you get used to either paying (in which case you're contributing to some sort of waste management fund, hopefully) or bringing your own bags.

(NSFW, not 56k friendly) Toy Story Woody is creepy.  These pictures realize his potential.

I'm not disturbed by Woody so much as the fact that they have dildos perfectly sized for his hands.

EDIT:  Megaman creator leaves Capcom.

Fuck yes to Fuck Yeah Gay Vintage.

IP Addressing stuff is cool and in hand, no panic at all really.  So yeah good to see Cisco having fun with it, wheeee IPv6, throw on an extra octet or 2 and call it a day.

Also the game was pretty good.

Breaking news, Italian politics is dominated by a rich dude who is only in it to get as much pussy as he can.

Edit - http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/11/02/teen_hack_suspect_charged/

Now here is an interesting question.  Is this over reaction or not?

From reading the comments apparently the kid had tried to let the school board know that the security was horrible before multiple times and got no response.

First link explains the original 7-roach rush build in terms understandable to non-SC2 players. The second goes more in-depth and apparantly has further refinements, but I haven't had time to read the whole mammoth thread yet.

Edit: Someone used the algorithm to generate a new build that gets the seventh roach out in 4:32 instead of 4:40 like in the original, assuming perfect control.

I remember when Blizzard games (WC2 at the time) were something people just played for fun, rather than a life calling for autistic Koreans.

More about Keiji Inafune leaving Capcom.  Very long interview, but lots of interesting information about the game development process (or lack thereof...).

Edit - http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/11/02/teen_hack_suspect_charged/

Now here is an interesting question.  Is this over reaction or not?

From reading the comments apparently the kid had tried to let the school board know that the security was horrible before multiple times and got no response.

I don't think it's an overreaction to charge him with something; breaking into someone else's computer should be a crime, shouldn't it?  This is the computer equivalent of breaking into a house and saying you committed no crime because you only looked around and didn't take anything, but left a note on the coffee table saying that they need new locks.  The fact that he did it for what he sees as a good reason doesn't change the fact that he did it.

So no problem charging him, but the important question is how serious the charges are (serious) and what kind of alternatives he's offered for a plea bargain (or alternately what kind of punishment the prosecution seeks).  It should be very light, probation for a year or two I'd say, compared to what he could get for the offense (10 years), for two reasons.  First of all, he seems to have done this for a good reason, and does not seem to have messed around with anything.  That should weigh heavily in his favor.  Second of all, the crimes he's charged with are serious, probably because in the vast majority of cases the invasion of the computer system is the damage whether the person messes around or not, like when a person who sees, but does not alter, credit card numbers.  So while he violated laws, those laws are aimed at a different kind of perpetrator.

10 years?  Dude, it's juvenile court in Canada.  IIRC the maximum imprisonment is 5 years.  For anything.  (Including murder--granted, murder cases sometimes get bumped up to adult court, in which case all bets are off).

I love zerg so much on paper, because their macro is so interesting.  If only I was good at doing stuff like remembering to inject larva in the midgame....

S'what the article that links to the one linked says.  I assume it's if tried as an adult.

So there was an alright solo artist that I picked up an EP for ages ago.  Months ago I found out he had published a bunch of his stuff for free online (Sadly not the EP he put out 4 years ago that I bought, but you only miss out on 2 tracks)

http://thelondonapartments.com/dead/news/ was his newest album from nearly 2 years ago
http://thelondonapartments.com/dead/music/ for the rest of his tracks

Sadly haven't been able to track down that album released in 2005.  Old and not really for everybody, but hey free musics.

Ever wondered how many T-Rexes are as long as a football field?

I object to any list of nonstandard units of measure that does not include the Smoot.

P.S. has anyone outside the greater Boston area actually heard of Mr. Smoot before?  If there were an award for "most ironic job based on personal history" he would have blown away the competition.
