Such a British thing, really. But the British news I watch trends toward the philisophical. Typical ending, rather than the joke: "But for the survivors, all that is left to pick up the pieces and wonder...why?"

Not that shocking, the female age for puberty's been pushed back in the past several generations. The ovulation cycle just needs the hormonal trigger to start, as the female body is born with all of it's oocytes in Meiosis I already. The record for the start of puberty in females is... oh hell, toddler age IIRC. It's pretty bad.

Noteworthy, however, is that the problem is not the human body sending the first hormonal trigger--the problem is that a lot of pesticides used in third world countries look like female hormones to the human body, so they release the trigger on female puberty. 7-year-old girls with boobs aren't uncommon in third world countries, and you'd never see that in a first-world country.
