Point.

Good news, everyone!

Christopher Nolan has started writing his third Batman movie and will oversee the Superman reboot (but probably in a producer capacity or something similar, not directing or writing). Meanwhile at Fox, Byan Singer is coming back to the X-Men franchise to make an X-Men: First Class movie.

A relevant topic to everyone who posts here: research on what kinds of news stories are most often shared.  They were studying email not forum posts, but close enough.

I love to see how young people learning English write. It's that point between initiation and fluency, where there is a vocabulary but not complete cultural adaptation, that provides some excellent insight into the writer's native language and culture.

I read this blog for other reasons, but she (a traveler currently teaching in Ghana) posted a story from one of her students today, and I thought I'd share:

Wait wait what

Zuh.

NIS jumped on that one fast. And if you're gonna jump on anything, why not the biggest high school romance series from its season?

Jumped on what fast? Toradora is from a year ago, almost two. Thats not fast. Pandora Hearts is newer.

Is the anime really that new? Harder to get a sense of that when people I know have been reading the manga for a while now.

And with the industry the way it is right now...

An alternate interpretation of FF8's plot which posits that Squall died at the end of disc one when Edea sent an icicle through his chest and everything after that point was just his dying fantasy. It's actually a pretty interesting possibility (mostly because it involves 100% more Squall death).

Wow, that was a pretty interesting read. Thanks for sharing. The whole part about Squall fabricating the love Rinoa had for him was pretty profound.

I refuse to give the creators credit for that.  It's quite the clever interpretation that makes the game's plot verge on making sense, but there's no way Square intended it that way.  Nice read, though.

Indeed. There's no way you come out with a brilliant mind-screw like that when you set your sights as low as "FOR NEXT GAME, I WRITE ROVE STORY!!!!"
