Your avatar suffers the "show for 1 second" syndrome, Idun.

So Bard, I gotta ask... is that the main guy from Narue no Sekai? If not... who?

Heh. I knew it looked familiar. I guess doing inventory on those damn books was good for something.

Grab the BETTER main character though. WIELD BATS, TRIP PEOPLE, CAUSE HAVOK!

... It's the surest sign of geekdom if you can recognise such a standard-looking character easily.

Picked it for the facepalm though.

To be fair, I worked for the company that released it here in the states, both the manga and the anime, and I used to have to do inventory on them.

... Really? That's quite neat.

Remind me to check it out~

The manga, that is. I just filched this one off a page I found somewhere.

It's... okay. Mostly average and mostly fluff. It's a romcom where the main characters get together in like, the first two chapters. Narue is pretty cool at first though since she repeatedly hits people with baseball bats and trips them at any given chance. Plus she's an alien.

Oh, I saw the anime for all of three episodes. (youTube refused to let me view episode4 and I gave up after that)

Having a series where the two lovebirds get together is rare enough without girl x and girl y and girl z also lusting after the main character, so I'm fine even if it involves girls smashing cute little puppies into gorey bits with a baseball bat.

You gave this series a bit too much credit Kadokawa did a reasonable amount of propagandizing for this series. Geekdom really isn't required to know about this series.

Not really, Niu. It didn't do that well over here and fandom as a whole never really grasped hold of it. Granted, it came out juuuuust before downloading really went mainstream. The only things that were being DLed at the time were like, FMP! and .hack//sign

I don't care if my net's down, I am not missing this fad. My e-mail's based on Kryten, so, y'know, seems like the obvious link.

See, I'm taking a potshot at Ciato because she's functioning on a tactical level whereas I am ascribed to the more advanced strategic layer of warfare. Also I liked Caesar, because he gave you advice rather than slapping you around, and his plans didn't require him to have telepathy or the ability to go back in time to give the enemy general retroactive fetal alcohol syndrome to work.
