Luke>>>Algus

"Replicas have no god!"

Crack.

Oh, sure, Algus got SOME sadistic fun out of torturing the tied up Luke, for maybe 30 seconds. Unfortunately for him, Luke is a replica with superpowers that still work moderately well even while tied up. Leaving an Algus-shaped blob on the floor after a manly "ARGHHHHHH!" scream and some hyperressonance.

Things just never seem to go Algus's way, do they.

Isolde>Zeromus

Things that are humiliating:

having a teacher and her Mana play fetch, using you as the stick.

After one Sword Creation, it wasn't like Zeromus was up to arguing it much anyway.

Lulu>>>Chaz

"So, what you're saying... is that you can -doublecast- your death spell." Chaz said calmly.

Lulu nodded. "Indeed. Or, I could just fricasse you, freeze you, drown you, or electrocute you. Really, I'm an easy girl to please, though hitting on me might not be wise."

"...Huh. But if you're silenced, all you have is your doll?"

Lulu pushed a button on the back, transforming the moogle doll into a Tonberry. "Well, yes. But I take it you know what this is?"

"...yep. As Alys still tells me, know when you're licked." With that, Chaz just turned and walked out of the arena.

Gafgarion>Neimi

A battle-hardened mercenary.
An easily starstruck young woman.

The end result? Obvious.

-------

"COOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLM, SAAAAAVE MEEEEEEEEEE!"
"Haha! You'll never see her again, Colm!"
"...this is stupid."

-------

Well, the result is obvious if it's Neimi and Gafgarion.

Colm just sent Eirika and Ephraim to tag-team Gaffy into oblivion as he went to get a drink. Or two. Or ten. Really, he'll stop when he doesn't have to think about the trouble Neimi causes him.

Chidori>>>Jogurt

A girl and a hamster.

There. That's my writeup. I need not say any more.

Oh, and Agidyne, but that's not so relevant.

Mist>Wilder

Cook for a band of burly mercenaries.
200 lb duck.
The implications are horrifying. And obvious. Blindingly, soul-searingly obvious.
Sufficently so that even Wilder, with his haughty manner and general real-world incompetence, picked up on them.
So really, no one was surprised when it was discovered Wilder had not only failed to attend the match, the entire Duck Village had migrated to Falena for the winter. And possibly the summer after.

Artea>Shu

What's the one thing a ninja can't beat? I dunno, but I do know that Shu won't like taking holy magic in the face while Artea heals away every blow he hits. So imagine Shu chipping away as Artea heals, buying time until a huge blast of light turns Shu into a pile of ashes. That's the bad thing about ninjas: When they go down they go down hard.

Rofel>Ernst:

It was over in a flash.

Rofel lunged forward, and with a short bark of laughter, hoisted his feline enemy up by the collar, with his sword.

And, as he smiled slightly into the face of the confused, enraged beast/man, he snapped his collar.

Along with his body, as Icewolf Bite took effect.

From the angle Ernst was at, he never had a chance to recover.

Of course, it's not all good.

Have you ever scared the hell out of an animal? Especially from that angle?

Let's just say that, while it wasn't Ernst's shining moment, it was a kind of revenge that needs lots of drycleaning.

Saki>Kyra

Saki rocked Kyra's world.

With a stony gaze and a flinty, cold smile, her granite hard hand thrust forward, caving inwards on Kyra's narrow neck.

But don't take this match for granite. Garnet or Ruby or Jade might have caved in under that kind of pressure, but Kyra was built like a brick. Her volcanic struggles nearly reduced the grip to slag, and her diamond-hard, and in her mind she thought that she shale triumph.

And then she turned into a rock.

Well, Saki'sphault there. But maybe next time Kyra will look for concrete reasons to try to fight. She probably would have been less embarrassed if she'd graveled at Saki's feet, as it was.

Guy>Ken:

One quick stroke.

And it was over.

---

"MY LUCKY FEATHER MAN RANGER R ACTION FIGURE!? YOU SON OF A-" Ken's anguished scream, as he looked down at the cloven figure in his hands, could only be described as demonic.

And then the arena blew up.

No one's really sure why, but the important thing is that it was definitely destroyed.

Of course, Ken survived, and Guy didn't, but that wasn't really relevant.

Ken had been defeated even before that, and he knew it in his heart as he entered in a forfeit.

But hey, a little glue and everything's fine. Except the minds of everyone in that arena, who saw Ken's horrific true power.

And their bodies. But hey, a little glue and everything's fine.

Vincent>Poshul:

Vincent was unable to fight Poshul.

She was simply too magnificent for that. No, he had to make her into something more.

Ribbons!

Bows!

Glitter and small national flags!

A white cone hat with a scarf hanging down it!

Accessories and beautiful accoutrements galore!

---

"And then she ran out of the arena, saying something about "Pothul isn'th taken seriouthly as ith is!" and howling a din." Vincent sighed, as he nursed his wine cooler.

It was okay, though. His friends understood.

And sympathized.

And then Poshul woke up in a tutu a few days later, with the most fabulously done up eyelashes and her ears in curlers oh and you just wouldn't believe how fantastic it was!

Fou Lu > Malik

The Dragon-God-Emperor eyed his opponent with a rather bemused expression, "And what purpose does thy presence here truly serve?"

Malak Galthana just shrugged and hefted his favorite stick, "Well, they couldn't find your real opponent, and there's alot of people out there paying to see you massacre some scrub, so I'm the stand in."

Now Fou-lu was honestly a little confused, "And thou hast agreed to play this unenviable role...why, exactly?"

"Well, the pay is pretty good and at least I'll be able to say I've been in a Godlike match. Even though the loss is going on his record, not mine."

Satisfied with the answer, Fou-lu transformed and proceeded to do exactly what you would expect.

Ike > Max

Ike greeted his opponent as he entered the arena, "Hey, good job with Middle last season."

A bit relieved to find his first match back in Heavy would be a friendly one, Max smiled and nodded, "Yeah, thanks. So, you ready?"

Taking a couple of warm up swings with Ragnell, Ike nodded, "Anytime."

A few passes later, Max struggled to pick himself up off the ground where he was flung by his opponent's brutally powerful strikes.

Seeing the fight was as good as over, the mercenary captain sheathed his sword and made his way out, calling back over his shoulder, "Not too bad. Welcome back to Heavy. And try to stick around this time, alright?"

Cid > Odin

As Odin was preparing himself for the match, he heard a very familiar...and very unwelcome voice behind him.

"Here, use this!"

Forcing a smile, Odin tried to wave off the weapon being offered to him, "Ah, thanks but I'll pass. That's not really my fighting style, you know?"

The Allfather frowned as he held out his mop, "What do you mean? It's up to you to defend the good name of Odin, so I'm trying to help you out here. Go on, take it!"

Odin started to refuse again, but the sight of Freya giving him the evil eye made him rethink that idea, "Uh...alright. Thanks..."

The god turned janitor slapped him on the shoulder, "Attaboy! Now get out there and kick some ass!"

Holding in a sigh, Odin trudged out into the arena...

- - -

In the stands, Odin crossed his arms and cast a displeased expression over what he saw in the arena. Namely the soldier who shared his name getting the snot beat out of him by a mere pilot. "And to think I entrusted him with the power of the Mop. I should have known that no mortal could use it's full power."

Long Chan Chan > Grobyc

Grobyc spelled backwards is Cyborg.

Long Chan Chan spelled backwards is Nahc Nahc Gnol.

No, I'm not really going anywhere with this, I just thought that Nahc Nahc Gnol was funny to type. It's funny to say too! Go on, try it!

Anyway, if kung-fu movies have taught us anything, it's that technological enhancements are never a match for true old school mastery of martial arts. So L.C. Chan grabs Grobyc by his laser hair and whoops his ass good or something. There might be a ladder involved somewhere, his name IS Chan afterall.
