Cid's down and dirty fighting style did him nothing against Guy, other than earning him a brutal beating. Gafgarion is like Cid Highwind- a veteran of countless battles, and someone who has learned every trick in the book to help him stay alive. All the underhanded tricks in the world won't slow down a swordmaster, especially one who gets to act first. Guy will have put a serious hurting on Gaffy before the Dark Knight even gets a turn- worse for Gafgarion is Guy's defense and accuracy, which are far better than his fellow FE cast member Neimi could boast. The march of the swordmaster's about to start again, and sadly for Gafgarion he stands directly in Guy's way.
