If winning a Godlike Championship won't get those little bastards to sit up straight and pay attention... ahem. What Isolde means is that she believes that a win here would be very beneficial to building a better working environment for the school. Who is going to talk back to the reigning Godlike Champion? (Other than problem students that are clearly some flavor of evil?) Anyway, Isolde out-tanks her opponent, which is a big factor considering the damage Cloud of Darkness can bring to the table. They're similar in their gimmicks, but Isolde just does it better. Her spellcraft will get the job done in the end as well, striking a blow for both the dress code and all the poor schoolgirls that have ever been victimized by tentacles!
