If there are any mistakes, please let me know ASAP so we can fix them.

I will put up a new pool every half week and they will all be open for a week as well. If enough people don't like this pace, I am willing to change the schedule, but let's roll with this and see how it goes.

Touhou Seirensen ~ Undefined Fantastic Object - Emotional Skyscraper ~ Cosmic Mind VS. Tales of Legendia - Short Circuit: I got tired of the ZUUUUN song a few minutes in, but then you've got the ToL track sounding like a corrupted audio file.
Chrono Cross - Frozen Flame VS. Super Robot Wars Original Generations - Wild Flug: Meh beats DRRNDRRNDRRNDRRN
Guilty Gear X2 - Existence VS. Front Mission 4 - Pride and Honor: Oh, Pride and Honor builds up to surprising goodness. Existence's alright, but I wish different GG tracks would get nommed for once.
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin - Will’s Theme VS. Mana Khemia 2 - Vanishing Mirage: I've always kinda liked Will's theme to some extent though never sure how much...sure, enough to beat Gusty McGust over here.

Final Fantasy XII - Salikawood VS. Devil May Cry - Red Hot Juice: Oo, Salikawood's one of the awesome location themes. DMC music on the other hand never does anything for me.
Legend of Mana - The Darkness Nova VS. Heroes of Mana - The Way This Heart Is: Getting tired of Darkness Nova. TWTHI's solid if a bit repetitive.
Final Fantasy XII - Esper VS. Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth - Pursuit ~ Lying Coldly: Pursuit is a tune that is married to its in-game emotions, but that's fine - there are a lot of worse feelings to evoke than the rush of finally cutting through the lies and mysteries to the truth. Esper's also totally an ingame mood thing, but the OST version (which I swear is neutered from ingame) just doesn't capture it, so.
Dance Dance Revolution Max 2 - Burning Heat! (Full Option Mix) VS. Suikoden Tierkreis - Sally Beacon~: Burning Heat has cool moments, but ultimately DDR original music just isn't that great. Psykoden track made me think it was an orchestrated version of Lying Coldly for a few seconds (seriously - that's just uncanny.) and is very solid throughout in general.

Tricky match.  Though Lying Coldly is my nom, it's a bit better in-game than stand-alone?  Nice start, but then it doesn't quite do enough later on.  I like Esper, but hmm.  Unsure.

Gundam SEED - Akatsuki no Kuruma VS. Shaman King - Tamashii Kasanete- Mm.  Shaman King track has a... I dunno, sorta reminiscent of what cartoons used to have, but in a good way.  Very upbeat.  Akatsuki is a better base song, but for some reason I don't dig the singer at all.
Lagann-hen - Seed of Tears, Flower of Smiles VS. Death Note - Aluminia- Can't say I dislike Aluminia, so not sure what Tonfa's saying (well, okay, he can't hit a high note for shit).  That said, totally on a Shoko Nakagawa kick lately.

Final Fantasy X - Piano Collections Final Fantasy X - Yuna's Detemination- Are you sure Hanakisou is an arrange and not a misplaced track from Ar tonelico or .hack? Oh well.  Yuna's Determination is so subdued I can't even place the original song listening to it so... uh yeah.

Chrono Cross - Frozen Flame VS. Super Robot Wars Original Generations - Wild Flug: One of CC's better tracks. The other one's okay though.
Guilty Gear X2 - Existence VS. Front Mission 4 - Pride and Honor: Boo, I like both of these a lot. Existence was in the last tourney a fair bit though.
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin - Will’s Theme VS. Mana Khemia 2 - Vanishing Mirage: Both are decent enough. Really, this pool's done a better job of avoiding total snoozers than the previous ones so far.

Final Fantasy XII - Salikawood VS. Devil May Cry - Red Hot Juice: Fairly standard Sakimoto material, but it beats too much synth noodling.
Legend of Mana - The Darkness Nova VS. Heroes of Mana - The Way This Heart Is: Darkness Nova's a favorite, can't really go against it.
Final Fantasy XII - Esper VS. Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth - Pursuit ~ Lying Coldly: Meh, PW music. Maybe it works in context, but listening to it doesn't do anything for me.

Guilty Gear X2 - Existence VS. Front Mission 4 - Pride and Honor - I don't quite get where this "Payoff" in Pride and Honor is. Lots of buildup though. A shame, waste of a potentially good track.
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin - Will’s Theme VS. Mana Khemia 2 - Vanishing Mirage - Coinflip. Both destroy the rest of this half. Wish Will's Theme had better audio quality though.

Final Fantasy XII - Salikawood VS. Devil May Cry - Red Hot Juice - Salikawood is okay. The DMC song does some good stuff, but its counterbalanced by a lot of wut.

Chrono Cross - Frozen Flame VS. Super Robot Wars Original Generations - Wild Flug - Frozen is nicely pleasant. Wild Flug was decent, but nothing special.
Guilty Gear X2 - Existence VS. Front Mission 4 - Pride and Honor - Existence is heavier than I'm feeling at the moment. Pride is no prize either, however. Guess I'm going to go with Existence as it actually does things.
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin - Will’s Theme VS. Mana Khemia 2 - Vanishing Mirage - Uh. If the quality of the Will track on offer is a result of the way it was made and not inherent to the track, it could be nice. But I'm going to have to assume it's always like that. Mirage is nice enough that it likely wouldn't have had a chance anyway.

Lagann-hen - Seed of Tears, Flower of Smiles VS. Death Note - Aluminia - Tears was much better than I was expecting. Nice. Alumina was pretty similar to what I was expecting, which was not so nice.

Final Fantasy X - Piano Collections Final Fantasy X - Yuna's Detemination - Hana is a low-fidelity copy of the Ar Tonelico song style (inasmuch as I really don't have extensive experience with those). Determination's quality varies wildly throughout and most of the time it doesn't have anywhere near as much force behind it as I would like. Guess I will go with the Xerox.
