If there are any mistakes, please let me know ASAP so we can fix them.

I will put up a new pool every half week and they will all be open for a week as well. If enough people don't like this pace, I am willing to change the schedule, but let's roll with this and see how it goes.

NOTE 2: The files for Vacant Interference and Theme of Blue Badger's March display the wrong time and are unstable.  They can be successfully played, but one of them crashed my music player.  I suggest just using the Tindeck links for now.

SaGa Frontier - Final Battle ~ T260G- I have to say, I would have pegged T260G's Final Battle here as a dungeon background track.  Not as a strike against the quality, just... it just doesn't sound like boss music.  Or anything else in Saga Frontier for that matter.  of course, I like the rest of SaGa Frontier.  But meh, it's still alright, Cactus Carnival also isn't doing anything for me, we'll go with it.

Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria - No Knowledge without Wisdom VS. Katamari Damacy - A Crimson Rose and a Gin Tonic- Crimson Rose has a good 50s vibe... if you're into that.  For myself not so much.

Escaflowne - Dance of Curse VS. .hack//Roots - GOD DIVA- My god.  I think Dance of Curse is seriously the most dramatic song I've ever heard.  Like, if you had an opera about a guy going on vengeance bender, summoning the Devil himself, becoming one with him, and every act is him raping, murdering, pillaging, etc. the friends and family of his real victim (not unlike Angelus), chasing them down on horseback in the dead of night, that might, MIGHT deserve this much epic.  God Diva's not without its merits but... uh yeah.

Blazblue - Cactus Carnival VS. SaGa Frontier - Final Battle ~ T260G: Oh, Tao music. Meh. T260G gets one of the good final battle themes, meanwhile.
Rozenkreustilette - Party of Ghost VS. Ys Seven - Vacant Interference: I think I've got what bothers me about these Falcom tracks: there's never any variation in mood, not even during the course of a particular song. They start out up-tempo rockers and end without pausing for a break or a change in tone along the way. There's nothing wrong with doing that once in a while, but the more of these songs I hear, the more annoying it is to see fairly average rock tracks get hyped with FALCOM PAWNCH nonsense. Vacant Interference is more tuneful than most, but it's still against my nom, and a stronger composition that does a better job at basically the same thing.
Legend of Mana - Irwin on Reflection VS. Touhou Chireiden ~ Subterranean Animism - Green-Eyed Jealousy: Not really one of the standouts from the series on the other side, I think. Touhou music, much more fun in remixed form.

Suikoden II - Reminiscence VS. Touhou Chireiden ~ Subterranean Animism - Satori Maiden ~ 3rd eye: Suikoden 2 music's never left an impression on me outside of Gothic Neclord.
Digital Devil Saga - Danger (Full Version) VS. Iji - Further: Further is a perfectly bittersweet, contemplative song about death, inevitability, and the end of the world. I'd vote it over basically anything in the tourney. Danger is just a mess.
Shadow of the Colossus - The Farthest Land VS. Shadow Hearts: Covenant - Love Moon Flower: Cluster Amaryllis would take this. Not so fond of Love Moon Flower out of context, though.

Conflicted about Karl Phase 0.  It's probably good in context, and it sets its mood well enough, but it doesn't feel like it actually goes anywhere?  On the other hand Mirage doesn't even seem to try.  They're both pleasant yet backgroundy, I guess.

Easy.  Danger is interestingly upbeat & jazzy, but Further definitely seems more interesting.

No Knowledge is probably my favorite piece in VP2 (though the final battle theme is also good), and it was a shame it went down round 1 last tourney.  Crimson Rose feels like some kind of sleazy bar in 1940s France, which is cool though not what I'd expect from Katamari Damacy?  Not winning here regardless but I like it.
