So, a week (or two...or more...) went by with some close and some not-so-close matches.

Apparently, hurting puppies is exceedingly high on the evil scale.  Anyway, your results:

Anyway, now, first week of the semi-finals!  And of course, even when the finals are finished, there's still one more thing to take care of...


Magnificent Bastards

Irving Valeria (Wild ARMs 2) vs. Sarah Kerrigan (Starcraft)

Both Irving and Kerrigan have had great experience fighting against alien invaders - and, in some cases, being the invaders themselves.  It'll be anyone's game - the Zerg Swarm is something not to be underestimated, but Irving is far spryer than he looks, and when you're villainous and smooth-talking enough to bed your sister...well, you're fucked up, but you're also pretty evil.

vs.
Mr. Burns (The Simpsons) vs. Emperor Palpatine (Star Wars)

Honestly, these two could be brothers - I mean, the yellow on Burns' face is probably more due to radiation exposure than anything.  Look at them - wrinkles both!  In any event, the power of the Empire might be formidable, but Mr. Burns' manipulative hand controls worlds by itself - two great conspirators duel against each other in a battle that all old geezers would be proud of!


Omnicidal Maniacs

vs.
Yami Marik (YuGiOh!) vs. Gig (Soul Nomad)

Banning TeamFourStar, or killing the very existence of life and death itself?  It's pretty close, all things considered.

vs.
Odio (Live-a-Live) vs. Demona (Gargoyles)

...man, battle of two awesome villains people have probably barely heard of.  My heart sinks ;_;


Failure IS an Option

vs.
Team Rocket (Pokemon) vs. Dr. Drakken (Kim Possible)

Dr. Drakken's invented many rockets in his time, but he may not be able to stop the rocket he'll be facing this week.  Of course, that's assuming Team Rocket can even find his lair to begin with - Dr. Drakken is known to keep lakes and evil stars around his fortress...er...wait, sorry, wrong one.

Bowser (Mario) vs. Dr. Wily (Megaman)

Dr. Frankenfurter (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) vs. Cruella DeVille (101 Dalmations)

In a battle of eccentricities, will the cross-dresser or the crazy old lady stand triumphant?

Lucas (The Wizard) vs. Dr. Facilier (The Princess and the Frog)

Both are "wizards" in their own right.  One is the master mage of Nintendo, while the other plays with Voodoo.  Will Lucas' Power Glove give him the strength to defeat the villainous Louisianian, or will the shadows consume the young boy and drag him to hell?

Emperor Palpatine vs. Mr. Burns - Smithers interferes somehow, and makes Palpatine explode.

Yami Marik vs. Gig - Pretty badass.
Odio vs. Demona - Ehh...

Dr. Drakken vs. Team Rocket - Does it better. What 'it' is, well, that's up to you. ;p
Bowser vs. Dr. Wily - Ouch, tough match. Gonna go with the classic.

Cruella DeVille vs. Dr. Frankenfurter - "I'm just a Sweet Transvestite from Transexual, Transylvania."
Lucas vs. Dr. Facilier - Power Glove all the way.

Bowser vs. Dr. Wily - They've both got great eyebrows, but only Wily knows how to use them.

Cruella DeVille vs. Dr. Frankenfurter - This is pretty damn close, but all those Saturday nights in Harvard Square count for a lot to me.  Also introduced me to possibly the most offensive call and response in the history of calls and responses:
Frankenfurter: "As it clung to her thighs"
Callback: "like a homesick abortion!"
Frankenfurter: "I started to cry..."
Callback: "You'd cry too if you were a homesick abortion!"

Irving Valeria vs. Sarah Kerrigan - She now controls roaches.  Nothing is more evil than roaches.
Emperor Palpatine vs. Mr. Burns - Palpatine is a failure who has an 0-2-1 all time fighting record in Star Wars.  That said, at least his clones kill off the Jedi order.  Burns is made up pure evil, but sadly the type of show he is in doesn't allow for him to commit genocide.

Dr. Drakken vs. Team Rocket - Fails in much cooler ways
Bowser vs. Dr. Wily - MEGAMAN SOCCER GOALIE HYPE!

Cruella DeVille vs. Dr. Frankenfurter- Far creepier
Lucas vs. Dr. Facilier - Being controlled by a being of great evil makes him evil.

Irving Valeria vs. Sarah Kerrigan - Hmmm, tough, but Irving is the best part of his game while I can't honestly say the same for Kerrigan so I'll tiebreak based on that
Emperor Palpatine vs. Mr. Burns - Eeeeeeeeexcellent.

Dr. Drakken vs. Team Rocket - Awesomeness.

Irving Valeria vs. Sarah Kerrigan - Kerrigan had to be turned before she was evil. Valeria was able to become evil all on his own.
Emperor Palpatine vs. Mr. Burns - By that same logic~

Yami Marik vs. Gig - Hmm... both are technically brainwashed. But Gig has far far far better lines.
Odio vs. Demona - Demona is pretty damn awesome as a villain. I don't get the Odio hype.

Dr. Drakken vs. Team Rocket - Worse motives?
Bowser vs. Dr. Wily - Doesn't even -have- motives!

Cruella DeVille vs. Dr. Frankenfurter - Higher bodycount!
Lucas vs. Dr. Facilier - More friends.
